  1. Jen just texted me and she is safely on the flight going back home. She wanted me to post so everyone will know. I am sure Chris is excited to get her back home :) Although we shall miss her!

  2. We almost threw her in the trunk of my car to keep her in Jersey last night! Thank you for sharing her Chris.

  4. CM, remember when my neice and I were stuck in Cleveland last summer? I didn't realize that you were close to the airport. I am definately going to be more cognizant of where TDKr's are when I travel!

  5. Oh Joan..I would have been there in a heartbeat...I live 5 minutes from the airport. of course parking and getting into the airport is another story...lol!
Next time you are in Cleveland...let me know :)

  6. Hope MCW's journey back will be a safe and uneventful one! What stories she will have to tell!!!

  7. Thanks Chris for loaning us MCW!!! Does anyone have a total count of the TDKers that MCW was able to meet with???

  8. I was wondering that too 2B! There were lots of siggies on the pink hoodie!

  9. I haven't tried my England Cadbury bar yet, and I've been very disciplined in eating my Malley's chocolates (lol).

  10. Safe trip home MCW! What an absolute joy to meet her, and the others at the SoCal meetup. Ready for the next one !

Thanks to Chris for sending her our way for an all too brief time.

  11. I've been saving my Cadbury bar, too, Siobhan!! I don't know why, but it will get eaten very soon. It sure was great to meet MCW (and Andy) and I hope we can all get together someday in a great big TDK meet. (Keep buying those lottery tickets!) Thanks, Chris, for her present and your present to us!

  12. Awww shucks, I didn't get a Cadbury. It's perfectly okay, however; I'm just happy to have met her!

  13. *texting airplane pilot to tell him to turn the plane around!*

  14. Be very careful how you word that to the pilot WWM!!! I would hate to see you taken to Gitmo for questioning!!!

    Posted 2 years ago by 2bpurring #

  15. Joan, I hope it doesn't sound like I'm trying to bribe you to come into the big scary city, but if you come visit me I can give you real English Cadbury's :) The real deal from across the pond, I swear.

  16. *sniff sniff* The MCW 2009 USA TDK Tour comes to an end. See you on TDK Jen...Thank you Chris for gifting Jen to us, you're awesome. Even if I couldn't be there in person, I was there in spirit. Bye MCW! =D

  17. Kilroy, I might be getting better. It's a bit confusing to get to the hotel area by the airport, but hubby got us there and I feel like I'm getting closer. Plus my neice is moving from Oregon to NJ and she's not afraid of anything! I do believe she would help her old Aunt Joan!

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  18. Yay! And I agree, the area around the airport is a mess; if you could get around there, you can manage Manhattan (it's laid out on a nice, straightforward grid).

  19. Missing our MCW already!!!!! We had a great visit in Chicago and I know everyone at the other meets had a wonderful time as well! I am sure Jen is so tired she will need a vacation from her vacation! Bon Voyage, MCW!

  21. WWM...I'm glad you weren't sent to Gitmo, but it appears as though the pilot didn't turn around!!! bummer!!!

    Posted 2 years ago by 2bpurring #

  22. Maybe I used the wrong address????? Maybe I didn't state our case urgently enough????

Well, I wouldn't have looked cute in those Gitmo outfits anyway.......

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  24. Glad to hear she is on her way home and eagerly await to know she arrived home safely.

A huge thank you to Chris for sending MCW over across the pond to us. I truly enjoyed the short visit with her and hope to get over your way someday.

I am saving the Cadbury chocolate for this weekend so I can relax and truly savor it. Thanks again for it, MCW!

  25. She planned on sleeping on the plane and sleeping/resting all day Thursday!

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  26. I should think so; I wonder if she remembers her name at this point :0 Good thing Chris will be there to meet her.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  27. She might be just about there. If I'm not mistaken, it's almost 9pm.

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  28. One more hour; it's only 8pm in London. I hope she's sound asleep.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  29. Oh right, 5 hours, not 6. *slaps forehead* It's a six hour flight, though, isn't it? I thought that was what she said, but I was tired last night too!

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  30. It took off at 8:56 Eastern time and is estimated to land at 4:23 Eastern time.

See what happens when you ask a researcher a question? :)
