Very slow day in the cafe. I have just a minute or two to pop in and wave at everyone and scritch the agency kitties. (Waves, scritches and runs!)

A slight rain outside now. I have class in an hour from now. I'll grab some lunch before class. I don't feel like going at all but I'm going to force myself to get out there. Grandma's funeral is tomorrow but mom and grandpa called me saying they don't want me to come. I don't know how I feel about it. Why don't they want me there?

aww Gini...I would ask them why. Maybe they know it's hard for you to get there since you are busy. Maybe they don't want you to see her the way she looks now. It could be any number of things. Oh honey, I wish I could help you.

Just a quick peek into the cafe - I'm so behind today! We went for a bike ride and I still haven't taken a shower (yuck) so I'd better get moving!

Hello ! Another warm sunny day in AZ. Finally cooling off - I think we only made it to the upper 90s yesterday.
Gini - when my grandparents died I did not attend the funerals. I was living in Wyoming or Arizona when they died, and they were in Wisconsin. My parents saw no need for me to spend the money to fly home - there was nothing I could do. It's not that they don't want you, they are looking our for your financial well-being.
I'd love a large chai tea this morning... although it's 80+ degrees at 9 a.m. - that is outside, and the office is cold ! Already wrapped in a sweater.

Gini, definitely give your a parents a call and let them know that saying not to come has negative conotations and you need more clarification as to why they are saying this. I too would think negative thoughts before maybe thinking that they are looking out for me.

It is a foggy but humid morning here so even though it is 61 degrees out it feels much warmer. Humdity is currently at 78% and I had light drizzle on the way to work. Suppose to warm up this weekend to around 80 in my area and poor Susie will probably be around 100 inland. Ick. Hope Ms. Hissy is doing better.
I stayed up too late loading music and pictures onto my phone last night and I am paying for it this morning by being extra tired. I am drinking some earl grey tea to hopefully perk me up. Last night while I was sitting at my computer desk loading the music and photos, Mia kept patting me with her paw to let me know she wanted to play. I took out the mouse on the wand and we played a bit. She got in some really good jumps. Sylvester came to play a bit before saying he had enough. He was very purry last night when he wandered out into the hallway. He stuck to me and when I walked the hallway, he walked right by my legs staying close to me. It was so cute. It is a bad habit he has now wanting to walk the enclosed hallway with me. He will meow at times now for me to open the door and I have to say no when I really want to say yes.

Wow, slow cafe today!
I ran some errands today and then a friend of mine called and asked if I wanted to meet for sushi for lunch. You bet I did! So I had a nice lunch with her, hung out for an hour at home and headed to work.
I was worried today that GG was upset with me. I was bored at the gym last night and posted on Facebook that I was bored as there was just one guy here working out. He walked in 15 minutes later as the other guy was leaving, so he was the only guy working out here. He stayed and helped me clean up and we chatted for a while. Later, after I got home, he saw my post on FB and sounded insulted at what I had posted. I responded that I had posted that before he came in. He never responded to that, so I wasn't sure if he was upset.
I texted him this morning and told him I am never bored when he's here. He liked hearing that and told me he was just joking on FB. I was relieved, as everything has been going well and I don't want to mess it up.Can't wait to get out of here. I have to stop at the pharmacy and pick up a prescription for my dentist appointment tomorrow morning. After than, I'm planning a relaxing evening in front of the tv.
