  1. About 5 years ago Rons little brother was killed in a para sailing accident, he left behind a wonderful wife, daughter now 13 and son now 6 1/2. the daughter was born with many, many health problems, she has been in a wheelchair all her life but if you get to know her she has a heart of gold. She has recently been admitted into the hospital with infection issues, I would explain further but I don't totally understand them all. This morning I received this plee for help. Hannah her daughter will be able to return home in 3-4 weeks hopefully but.....(this is from her email)

Hannah's cat, Bat. AKA, Bat the Fat Cat. We adopted for our Halloween Hannah her very own black witches cat last year for her birthday. Her baby kitty Bat. Or Mad cow as we call him at home. He is one year old, male, long haired, perfectly lovable, silly cat. Before I send him back to the shelter where we adopted him from, I want to ask around to see if I could find him a good home. No more inside pets for the Willis house. Maybe one day when we have a house with a back yard we can get a dog, but we can never have an indoor animal. Bat is awesome. Everyone loves him, but he is alive and filled with bacteria as we all are. But just like pregnant women, can't have the cat box around Hannah. Augh.....This is ugly but it needs to be done. We adopted Bat for Hannah when she was healthy, but the reality is, she never got this sick before with these bacteria and it happened within the same year as having an indoor cat?

Again I will do anything to prevent Hannah from getting sick, seeing her in the hospital and leaving her while she cries because she wants to come home, is horrible. I will do what ever I can to prevent this from happening again. Even if it is extreme or I am judged as over reactive. Seeing Hannah with a tube coming out of her head and a tube coming out of her arm and seeing her cry in emotional and physical pain is rotten. So illuminating possible contractors is my new job.......

She is in the SoCal area, but I will do all I could to help with transportaion if there is anyone out there who can help!!!

  11. Cousin Spike's family is thinking about a second cat. I'll ask them. How is Bat with other cats?

  12. If only he were a short hair cat. My roommate has asthma and long hair cats drive his allergies insane. *sighs*

  13. If he is mellow and good with wheelchairs have you checked into therapy cat organizations? Maybe they need a big calm boy for that.

  15. If you can get a picture of him, I could take it across the street and work on their heartstrings.

  16. Oh Julie...First I'm so sorry about Ron's little brother...I can't imagine how losing him must have hurt Ron. It sounds like your sil has really had her hands full with Hannah's health problems and now with Hannah in the hospital, poor Mad Cow will need a new home. No doubt this is necessary but will likely break Hannah's heart to lose him. I'm afraid I cannot give her kitty a furever home but I will pray that your sil can find a purrfect home for him. =(
