  1. Evening everyone, finally got home this evening and now getting ready for w*** so here but kinda not. Hope that things have went well enough for most if not all, trying to catch a breath now and relax.

  2. It's been 4 hours since the last post so I'm guessing most people are tucked up in their beds(US), settling down for the evening in NZ/AU or out at work(UK). I'm here @ w**k though I would much rather be heading off to bed now to curl up with my trusty hot water bottle.

It's 2.31 AZ time, ...the night is chilly in NZ and cool to d**n hot in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis Moonshadow, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<
All our thoughts and prayers are with those whom have passed over the Bridge. May their passings be gentle and their fur friends waiting for them over the Rainbow Bridge.

  3. MS wanders into the NS office, sees that Deb is home and has put the office to rights for the night.
Welcome home Deb. Very cold night here and I'm on as long as it takes me to drink a hot coffee then it's odd the my hot water bottle.

  4. Hi, Deb, evening MS, lovely to see you two ladies together again. It is freezing here too, MS, and the kitties keep tricking me into opening the front door for them. My, it was a lovely day though. I planted a dogwood in the garden, did the supermarket shop, had morning tea with a lovely neighbour and got lots of editing done -- good day chez Jcat!

    Deb, it is nice to have you home. {{{Deb}}}

  5. jcat, thanks my friend.

MS, wish it was colder here, it was so warm and humid in California.

Its good to be home even though I know my Dad would rather have had me stay in Calif a bit longer.

  6. It was a beautiful day here too. This evening I drove to that mill town where Mr MS is working and picked him up. He has an appointment tomorrow I wouldn't let him miss. Then I have to drive him back there afterwards. About a 3 hour round trip. It's nice to see him. Meegz and i went to a wedding gown sale but it was the dresses they have for people to try on in the shop and they were grubby, with pulled threads and just really nasty, going cheap at $500! ! ! We took one look and walked out. Meegz and Andrew found a lovely marriage celebrant so they are happy. Their cats are settling in well now and will even both sleep in the bed with 'Mum & Dad'. That's progress.

  7. That is a lot of progress for sure on the kitties sleeping together on the bed. Sometimes those wedding gown sales aren't what they are cracked up to be, they have them here for some of the rental places.

  8. Ooh, that's a long drive, MS, is that the one you have to make every sparrowfart?

Yikes, $500 for a grubby, nasty dress is no bargain! Meegz should have a really nice one, maybe one that she can wear again to formal events, then it becomes more of an investment and less of an expense. One of my friends got married in the evening in blue velvet and she looked lovely!

  9. Morning Deb and Evening MS and Jcat. Deb, I am glad you are back, safe and sound. We missed you. Hope you are doing okay.
It's 7:15am here, just got up a few minutes ago..I actually slept in. Maddie was over grandma's all day yesterday and last night. I hope to get stuff done today like cleaning out some of her toys to make room for new ones since her birthday is in a month...then Christmas...never ending cycle :)
    How is everyone?

  10. Dress shopping is fun but a pain in the tush. I hope Meegz can get one soon that she likes and that she doesn't have to give her first born as payment for :)

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  11. Yay, CM slept in, whoo hooo! I bet you missed little Miss Maddie's smiling face though...

  12. I think she is going for something that she has always dreamed of wearing but never thought she would get the chance. I'll just have to wait and see. We had our suspicions about what we would find at the sale so we weren't disappointed. We then had a look around for bridesmaids dresses but that'll be easier when all the BM's are in the country. It is great that Lucky & Ruby are getting on better. They had another cat sneak into the house through the cat door this morning at 4am, Andrew heard the cat door flap shut and he and Lucky went out and scared the living daylights out of the other cat which the couldn't remember where the cat door was and circled the room several times looking for it. It shot out the door finally with Lucky hot on it's tail. Meegz and Ruby stayed in bed with the men sorted things out. LOL

  13. I do miss her jcat, but I have to say, she is just such a whirlwind of energy, it's always a nice break :)
awwww poor kitty. At least Lucky made sure things were safe :)

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  14. Tee hee, good on ya Meegz and Ruby, start as you mean to go on...

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  15. Morning CM, Yay, you got to sleep in. Isn't it wonderful. LOL at the first born as payment, it's almost like that. But we had looking, and we didn't even spend any money! which was even better.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  16. CM, morning and good that you could sleep in for a bit.

I am glad to be home and see my own kits and hope to finish moving stuff over today after w*** from the old house to the new one. Have a killer headache but its got to be done and I can rest afterwards.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  17. Oh that is a pain, Deb, that your poor head is hurting, but I guess you can fall into bed afterwards. You must be very tired, it has been a very tough few weeks for you.

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  18. Don't overdo it Deb. I hope you have some help to move. Take it easy.
I have an extra wedding dress that I never wore..I should send it to Meegz..it would probably be too big for her though.

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  19. Drat that headache Deb. You'll be glad when you have the move completed and can start personalising the new house. Did your furkids miss you or was Aunty Lynn just so wonderful that they forgot to miss you.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  20. Lol, they were playing hide and seek this evening after I got home....running through the house and scaring each other, it was good to see them playing.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  21. You should sell it CM. We've been trolling through the almost several thousand on our local version of ebay, what an education that is. All sorts of styles. She finds a dress that she likes but it's the wrong size or colour. We have 7 months or thereabouts before W-Day.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  22. jcat, figure I can fall into bed this afternoon sometime, renting a large U-haul to pick up the rest of the stuff, unloading it into the garage and then to bed I go.

  23. This would be where a Lotto win would come in handy, wouldn't it, MS?

    I didn't win last night :(

    But I am ever-hopeful!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  24. Was that the new or old house Deb?

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  25. we tried years ago to sell it on ebay but never went. probably asked too much for it. I might just donate it to a resale shop.

Off to get coffee...be back in a bit.!

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  26. I hope you can find a nice neighbour or friend to help you, Deb, that would help too.

I hope the kitties let you sleep, or better still, sleep with you!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  27. There's always next weekend Jcat. Will be around $20million. That should get the "Kiwi Clan" over to the US and UK for a few riotous meet ups, with plenty to spare for a cracker of a wedding and clear the girls student loans.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  28. Tee hee, I'll start dreaming now, MS. Modest dreams, of course -- someone to finish laying my path, for one, and someone else to mow my lawns. I'd better make sure to buy my ticket at the luckiest shop next week then!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  29. Ohhhh, I'd get someone to mow the lawns too. And I'd get a path to the clothesline, been asking for one for years. There's so many little jobs that just never get done that I would get sorted. Then and only then would I think about something extravagant yet functional.
My coffee is now finished and it's time I toddled off to bed. HRH is asleep in the bean bag, sunk deep into it for warmth.
Goodnight Deb,Jcat and CM. See you tomorrow/today.
