Well, its time for another Sunday of NFL Football! Whoo hoo for those of us fans! We are having a "tailgate" menu. All the toppings and eggs you would need for the purrfect omelet, french toast, biscuits and gravy, bacon, fruit and coffee/tea. We also have brats, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, slaw, Bush's baked beans, chips, pretzels, cookies and ice cream. Beautiful day here, come on in and say hello!

*hangs head...I don't like football* But I will celebrate Sunday :)
How are you today? How are the girls?
It's beautiful today here too. Wayne washed the deck yesterday and will be working on the yard today. I am going through Maddie's room and putting things in "storage" and have to run to Target for the upteenth time..forgot formula yesterday. aghhhh.
Abbie is on "real food" for the most part now plus formula..she wants nothing to do with baby food...so I am trying to remember what I can feed her...she has eaten cooked carrots, toast, hot dogs, cheerios, meatballs, spaghetti, apple chunks(from gerber so they are soft)
The girl has no teeth yet and she wants to do it herself and stuff she can shew...:)Posted 2 months ago by cricketsmama #

Oh Abbie, a girl after my own heart! She loves to eat! YAY! How was Maddie's visit to Grandma's, or is she still there? I am ok today, my head/neck hurt today. I (hang my head) can't find Wilma today. She only has four rooms to be in and i can't find her. With my head and neck hurting I can't move the big furniture to look but she is hiding somewhere. Hope she is ok. You don't have to be a football fan but you can "tailgate" with us!

Hi MC & CM -
Hey CM, tailgaiting is for everyone, so if you don't like football, you can still enjoy the pregame festivities!
It is another beautiful day here in Jersey, hmmm, that makes 2 weekend days in a row that it's been nice, yay! I hope it's this nice next weekend; we're going to the shore.
Heading out to a bbq later. Then it's home to watch a bit of football and get ready for the big bad workweek. I know, I need to remember to be thankful to have a job.
Have a great day TDKr's!Posted 2 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Have a great day Joan! While the weather is good I am gonna decorate for Halloween and Fall outside today. After all Fall starts this week! UGH! Then comes that awful season after Fall...........

I can't believe it, fall already! I'm keeping my beach stuff out just one more week, only because of our trip to the shore. Some guy hubby knows has a place right on the beach. So even though it's not swimmin' weather, I would be happy to spend the weekend on the beach with a book. Hoping it's not to cold and windy.

Ahhhhh, the beach, sounds lovely!

Hi Joan!!!! I love fall, it's actually supposed to be warm this week..in the 80's..
Maddie is still at grandma's..probably till around dinner time, so it's such a nice break for her and for us. I do miss her though.
I hope the weather stays warm or slightly cool till Maddie's birthday, we are planning to have her birthday in the backyard and if it's cold, we have to have it inside and our house is the size of a postage stamp..not good...Posted 2 months ago by cricketsmama #

I will be happy just to get my toes in the sand; something tells me it will do me a world of good.

See you later CM! MC, since Leela is going to be home by herself all afternoon, perhaps she can come over and help you and Betty find Wilma?

Good afternoon! I'm here with Mum, we're registering her properly as a TDKer, so she can post in the future. Anyone want to say hello?

Come on over Leela! We could use an extra search party member. I have stopped looking so maybe she will come out!

Hello MCW & Mum! Mum, I'm so happy to have met your daughter, the highlight of my week/month! I think of your Bones and I'll bet he's buddies with my Shaddo at the Rainbow Bridge; they seem like kitties who had much in common. Shaddo was 17 when he left for the bridge in June 2008 to be with his brother Jiggs, who went there in January 2008.
Hope you both have a wonderful afternoon/evening!
MC - Leela will slip thru the wormhole in a little while - she's picking wildflowers.Posted 2 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

MCWsMum (this is how her screen name will appear) : hello JoanfromNewJersey! How nice to meet you. It's nice to think of Bones having friends at Rainbow Bridge! All the messages about Bones when he went to Rainbow Bridge were such a help and a comfort. I am now consoling myself with MCW's cats, Pickle, Button & Eric. Love to you all!

Hi everyone! I'll take a healthy helping of sausage gravy and fluffy buttermilk biscuits!
My back might be feeling a bit better, I think (and hope). Thanks to all who have sent healing and positive thoughts.
I'm waiting for the new chestnut crop to start coming in, it should be in the next couple of weeks. Yummy treat, high in fiber, low in calories.
Hubby is cleaning and updating our indoor orchid-growing chamber. With the cooloer nighttime temps, it's time to think about bringing them indoors. Many have set flower spikes already! Much earlier than normal, and in some cases, I'm getting 2 or 3 flower spikes! Woohoo! Maybe it's because we lost a big tree branch in the back yard this year to a nasty storm and the orchids are getting more sunlight. I'm excited. And -very- happy to have less pain. I still go for blood tests tomorrow morning though.
-
Hi Sio! I'm glad your back seems to be getting better. TDK thoughts will be with you when you go tomorrow. I just started trimming back my lilacs and if I had time today, would keep trimming. Just the parts that I've been able to get at are letting a lot more sunshine in that dark part of the yard. Guess it's been a bit chilly by you. It was in the lower 50s here this morning.
MCWsMum, cats are such comfort, aren't they? I miss my boys so much, yet Miss Leela is doing her best to help!

Hi, CM, MC, Joan, MCW, Siobhan and a big welcome to MCWsMum!!!!
I bet Maddie is having a great time at grandma's house, CM. I hope you've been able to rest and relax a bit while she's been away.
Siobhan, I didn't realize you were into orchids. I have about fifteen orchid plants at my office. I don't spend the time they need to come back into bloom, but they have beautiful foliage. Such variety!!! Glad to hear that you are in less pain. :)
MCWsMum, it is often slow here on the weekend. I hope MCW will show you how to start conversation threads so you can introduce yourself and we can get to know you better. We've so enjoyed getting to know her! :)

I'm just back from taking Mum home, think it will be a looooooooong time before she's up to starting threads, lots of 1 on 1 tuition needed first!!!

Sorry I missed her, MCW. I'm sure she will enjoy chatting when you are there to help her do it. :)
Are you recovered from your zombie-like state after your tour of the USA?

LOL, today is the first day I've felt vaguely normal, which is a relief as I have to go back to work tomorrow!! I really underestimated how the jet lag would affect me, zombie like is a pretty accurate description!!

((MCW)) I am so glad your mum has joined :)
Hi all!!!
Back from Target and we are eating lunch, Abbie, Wayne and I.
KW, there is no rest when Maddie is gone, that's when we can do a lot!! Lol..I have to go clean out her older toys to make room for her birthday toys she will be getting in a month! agh...it's easier when she's not here though so she doesn't cry or see what I am doing...Posted 2 months ago by cricketsmama #

I'm glad you are feeling back to normal, MCW. I have felt such a mental lift when I think about the meetups. I've never had so much fun with so many friends in so short a time. lol
CM, I can remember trying to get things done when my kids were napping or at a friend's home. Try not to wear yourself out. :)

Hi, MC. The weather here in Oregon is overcast and damp. The leaves are definitely telling us that Fall is here. I like this time of year. We had our first fire in our fireplace last night. It was cosy. :)
Any sign of Wilma coming out of hiding? She does not like her shots!
Posted 2 months ago by Kitten Whisperer #

No sign of Wilma anywhere. I think she is telling me she is DONE with the shots in her scruff! Betty is all snuggly cause the windows are open and the cooler air is coming in, so she wants to curl up on my lap while I read the sunday papers. Of course, she wants to 'read' too!

Reading the paper with a cat curled up in your lap is a challenge, but very nice too. I love having snuggly cats except when I have one of those "personal summers." lol

Welcome to TDK, MCW's Mum!!!!! We're so happy that you're going to be joining us in our wild and crazy adventures!
I think that I am off to quilt a bit. Catch y'all later!

Nice "seeing" you, WWM. Have fun quilting! I should get busy around here too. I have a hula skirt to finish sewing for my daughter before her class tomorrow.
I'll be back later on. I hope everyone enjoys their day!
