God almighty I have the worst stomach pain I've ever had in my life,I so don't need this now. I've been sort of neglecting my stomach even though I've had a previous ulcer. The pain is much worse now and I can't get my useless dr to answer through his answering service.
I'd appreciate some healing white light and some advice. I'm already taking Protonics twice a day and can hardly eat. Gah!

BC, please get checked ASAP! I know what that is like, Dilaudid sure makes it all feel better too. Maybe they will give you some of that if you go to the doctor! Hang in there!

Wow! I made a calculated decision to call FR now because I didn't feel really safe to drive and no one is around to drive me.And even though I'm not in acute distress now I was an hour before.I was sitting out front waiting because I didn't want to be worried about letting cats out. They came up,"where's the pt?" I said "me". They asked me how long I had been having this and why it was an emergency now. I said It had been manageable by the means the doc ordered but now it wasn't. They kept asking why is it an emergency and I was having to shout over the sound of the rig and they kept saying things like you don't know who prescribes your pills?" when I couldn't remember the new dr's name "All of a sudden this is an emergency?" the ems yells at me.He's yelling at me! All of a sudden it didn't seem worth it to bother with them. My doctor hasn't called back and I get attacked by EMS because I'm not elderly or whatever I'll be OK,I'll call in the morning. I so didn't need to be treated like that,now I'm more upset than ever.

Oh I am sorry the EMS yelled at you. What jerks! Here we get a visit from our local fire dept EMT's at least 1-2 times a month. They are always polite even if they end up not being needing which is 99% of the time. We have only needed twice in the almost two years I have been in my apt. Once because a woman cut her head from falling and the other was child havin a grand mal seizure (he is now under going tests).

BC, I have a very active ulcer, and was recently put on Protonics, which is not managing it at all at this point--acid pain is really unbearable at times--I was previously on Aciphex but only changed because of the cost and not having insurance. Aciphex works great for me, and I'm going back on it ASAP, cost or not. It sounds silly, I know, but if the acid is building up and really painful--try eating a couple slices of white bread--plain--not heated or toasted without the crust--it helps absorb some of the acid. Sounds dumb, I know, but it works.

Yes the dr finally called back at 1:30am! He said to come in early today and he ordered at cat scan. He showed me his pda where something had gone wrong with his answering service and he had not even received a call until 1:30am. I called about the EMS incident and it is being taken care of. I feel better today,just drained and I'm drinking barium contrast for the cat scan today,YUM!
