  1. It's been 4 hours since the last post so I'm guessing most people are tucked up in their beds(US), settling down for the evening in NZ/AU or out at work(UK). I'm here @ w**k though I would much rather be heading off to bed now to curl up with my trusty hot water bottle.

It's 3.42 AZ time, ...the night is chilly in NZ and cool to d**n hot in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis Moonshadow, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<
All our thoughts and prayers are with those whom have passed over the Bridge. May their passings be gentle and their fur friends waiting for them over the Rainbow Bridge.

  4. Hi, CM, how are you this morning? Did you get everything done yesterday that you wanted to? Did Maddie have a lovely time at Grandma's? Did you sleep well last night?

I spent the afternoon at the shelter today, the five kittens born there two weeks ago now have blue eyes and can move around although mostly they just lie there in a kitty huddle and sleep. One of them was so sweet today, just the size of a dot but a huge purr and it just slept there, purring, its whole body vibrating. My favourite cat, a shy tortie named Pama, got a new home in the weekend. I am so pleased for her, because she is a lovely cat, but I was looking forward to cuddling her, something she'd begun to enjoy more and more :(

  5. Awww Jcat, you rock for spending time at the shelter. That is so awesome. I would have to take them home. I am glad Pama got a new home. I hope she gets lots of cuddles there!
I am okay..tired. Up at 2:30 back to bed at 3:30 since Abbie was up..we still have lots to do, so Grandma is taking Maddie again this Saturday. We did get the deck washed and a place in the yard cleared for her toys..we still have to stain the deck and put mulch down on that place in the yard for the toys...so that's next weekend.
Maddie had such a great time over grandma's. She didn't want to come home. She loves grandma so much!

  6. Awww, that's lovely that Maddie has such a great time at her grandmas! That's such a special relationship! It sounds like you got a lot achieved, CM. Sorry you and little Miss Abbie had such broken sleep...

We lost a duckling at the shelter today -- as in literally lost. We put it in a cat crate on the patio but someone didn't close the door properly and when a girl came to collect it, to rehome it, it had disappeared! We had to shut the shelter cat, Spot, indoors and all listened very carefully to hear it cheeping... Turns out it was in the shrubbery and you should have seen the four of us charging up and down the shrubbery and pushing through the roses (ouch) trying to catch this tiny little furball -- man could it move fast!

Eventually the girl who was taking it home managed to snatch it up -- yay! so that was a happy ending. Spot was very cross with us though, as duckling was off the menu!

  7. awwww that poor duckling..I would have loved to see you guys finding him though. How funny! I bet Spot was cross. How dare you :)

I must jump in the shower now that it's free since the girls are still sleeping. If I miss you a bit later, have a good night jcat and a wonderful Tuesday :) Hugs to you!!!

  8. {{{CM}}} Have a wonderful day. I will be up for a bit, editing. Since I didn't do any work this afternoon, I better get some of it done now :)

It was funny, it was so tiny and we were so big and clodhopper-y!

  10. Hi, Deb, it's so nice to have you back on again! We have moved over to the morning caff! How is that horrible headache of yours? I saw on the day shift that you had got most of your moving done, well done! that must be a big relief!
