  6. My back seems to be better today, I slept most of the night without using the heating pad :-)

Bloodwork this morning, a stop at McDonald's for a LARGE OJ and some breakfast, and here I am :-)

  7. Tee hee, there's nothing like a hot shower, CM. Hi, MC, hope you have a wonderful day too, here is a calico to cuddle. *Gently pushes a perky, purry little calico through the wormhole to MC.* Siobhan, that's good news about your back. When will you know about the bloodwork?

  8. Glad to hear that your back is getting better, Siobhan. Just take things easy and don't overdo.

  9. Thanks for the kind thoughts and well wishes. I go back to my regular doctor on the 29th. My gutdoc is back in the office this Wednesday. Geez, it's hard to schedule my medical emergencies around his work schedule (slightly sarcastic). I'm being a good girl, I don't want th TDK police knocking on my door! (lolol).

Hermes has been a wonderful nurse-kitty, he spent a lot of quality time purring and drooling on Mommy this weekend.

  10. Grey and drizzly today in M'waukee...feels like Fall is creeping in! Monday greetings to all on the beginning of the work week! I need a grey kit to smooch along with my usual laaarge black java to go! (Have a good day/nite wherever you hang your hat & keep your cat!)

  11. Quiet day at the cafe...I suppose it's just the Monday morning blahs. It is raining hard here right now, but we needed the rain and the temps are still good for fall.
Work is starting slow this week, but that's okay with me. I prefer slow-start Mondays than ones that are just packed with work.

  12. Good morning, all! I was happy to see our oldpal Brodie as TDK his morning. My computer won't let me post on the main site today, but I was happy to see him - it's been a while.

I'm having a lazy day and I really have a bunch of stuff to take care of. I have to go get a present for my brother's birthday next week. I have no idea what t get him so GG is helping me come up with something. He'd better think fast, because it's already really late to be shopping for him. I wanted to go to the laundromat which is by the vet's and go talk to the vet about taking Bobby offthe pheno, but I think that'll have to be tomorrow. I have to stop by XBF's for my mail, too. I wanted o go hit balls against the wall at te par and practice my ground strokes a bit before team practice tomorrow, but I'm not sure that'll happen today, either.
I did just clip the claws of two very unhappy kitties - Mi gave me a nice scratch and Bobby growled. I'm going to get ready and run to the mall and look for ideas for my brother.

Hope everyone is having a nice day!

  13. Seems more like winter in my backyard - IT IS SNOWING!

Posted 2 years ago by KarenCentennial #

  14. Hello to All! WHAT??? KC, snowing??!!! Surely you jest! UGH, that is the dirtiest word to me! Glad your back is somewhat better, Siobhan! Hope you all have a good day!

  15. Fall? Oh yeah, it's only going to be 105 today... cooling down under 100 this week.

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  16. Wow - snow!!! I saw Christmas stuff at the mall today! I love fall and winter and Christmas! I can't wait for it to cool down here.

I got my brother a nice watch - at least I thought it was nice. I also got myself a dress. I'm going to a semi-formal graduation party on Saturday. A doctor and his wife rent space at the gym and run classes to certify trainers. Every year they have a fancy graduation and party and invite all of us. It was on sale and looked nice, so I went for it.

  17. How fun GD !!! I haven't worn a dress (except for hula) since I don't remember when. I think I have one, maybe 2, in my closet !

    Watch - that's a really nice gift :)

  18. I have some dresses that I bought after I started the new job as we always dressed nicely for that and dresses seem to be in this year. None of the dresses were long enough to really work, though, and more like those t-shirt dresses that are everywhere right now (I love wearing those, they are so comfortable!). Anyway, I found a nice black and white dress, and it only cost me $25!
I'm looking forward to the party - it should be fun. Since GG will be in Finland anyway, I may as well go party with my co-workers.

  19. A great price GD ! Absolutely... party on! Can't stay home and mope.. lol

  20. Good evening/afternoon one and all. I'd like a nice fresh roll with some strong cheese and pickle, please.

It's been lovely weather here today, about 66 degrees and sunny most of the day. I don't suppose it'll last, but it's nice while it's here.

I have to take Pickle to the vet again tomorrow for her second Leukaemia vaccination - should be fun NOT!

  21. HI PM, haven't crossed posts with you for a while. How are you, and how's TDK's newest Pickle getting on?

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  22. Poor Pickle! How is she doing - is she becoming less skittish?

2p, there will be no moping. I'm used to entertaining myself and hate the thought of becoming dependent on a partner for everything. I'm wondering if he can text me from Finland, though. We text a lot. I hadn't even made it back from his house last night, before he texted me. He stared again this morning and heard all about my shopping expedition to the mall.
I had told myself I wasn't going to buy a dress for this party, but at that price, I just couldn't pass it up.

  23. She's a lot friendlier now, in fact she's on the back of my chair watching the screen as I type this, but I still can't touch her. She will come close to me and climb on me, but I'm not allowed to approach her. The only time she permits stroking is when she is clearing "human" food scraps from my plate and she gets sooooooooooooooo excited she doesn't really notice I'm stroking her. As soon as she has finished eating, she's off again.

  24. Ah the bribery powers of food... ;o)

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  25. She is VERY food orientated.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  26. We have a Pickle just like that too!!!

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  27. Good job GD - keep yourself independent. So many women fall into the pattern of feeling they 'need a man' to make everything OK. :)

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  28. I treasure my independence 2p. I had a live-in boyfriend who was way beyond controlling - I'm never going back to that!

Awwww, PM, I'm so happy Pickle is warming up to you. Milo is like that about food, too. He starts purring as soon as he sees the wet food can at night and purrs straight through his meal :)

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  29. I've never heard Pickle purr yet. She yowls where she's hungry, and wolfs her food when she's fed. I'm hoping she'll learn to purr soon.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  30. Hi PM! So glad things are progressing with Pickle.
