  4. i agree too! my kitten cries a lot i think he misses his mom he's 7 weeks but the lady where i got him told me that she rescued him when he was 5 weeks! too early for him to be separated from his mom....

now everytime i play some soothing music he stops crying then sleep & it makes him to calm down...

we listen to Mozart, Brahms and Chopin

  6. Cali has an aversion to the carrier and riding in the car, so the last time I took her to the vet I had Josh Groban on a CD in the car--guess she doesn't care for Josh because she never quit hollering. I'll have to try something classical.

  7. MaxandCali'sMom, its not bad and I don't especially like classical music, some of the music out there makes me want to scream because it hurts my brain.

  8. I hardly ever listen to the radio any more--I've got plenty of Josh's CD's in my car, along with other easy listening music-mostly piano music. Oh, for the "old days" when you could actually understand the words in the music.
And they weren't 4 letter words........

  9. LOL, MCM, you reminded me of the day I had Shadz in the carry cage in the car and she was doing a bit of wailing so I turned on the radio and there were bagpipes playing. Shadz shut up and was quiet for the rest of the journey, probably thought there was lots of other cats wailing somewhere.
Can't get the music here, possible because I'm out of the US.

  10. Well that just isn't right, you should be able to get the music no matter where you live....oh wait that was logical thinking right, oh never mind...will have to find the cd's I have for pets (yes they are in boxes somewhere within the house) and send them too you.

  12. Scary isn't it, went out in the garage today and started to actually weed thru things out there....more progress than when I moved the last time :)

  13. I believe we still have s few boxes unpacked from our last move 24 years ago. I think it's books and some glassware that we didn't have a place to put them. Now we have but the window seats they are stored under have computer stuff on top. Shadz knows whats in the seat as she slides open the doors and plays in there.

  14. I play a lot of acoustic guitar in the house and Finn always jumps up on my lap and purrs when I play. It puts him to sleep almost every time.

  15. Shadz was never really all that pleased whenever Airy played her violin. Our other cats didn't like Mr MS and I playing the clarinet and double bass but maybe its the low and high notes they don't like. Couldn't be our playing surely!

  16. I have an ornery cat who will settle down and start to purr if I sing to her.

  17. Wonder if anybody ever made a recording of cats purring--to soothe the savage human beast??
