Hi everyone,
Sammy was put to sleep this morning he had a very swollen tummy , he had a blood test they said he had a tuma and other underlineing problems. in the short time that i had him i think he was happy, but i'm so sad and cant stop crying he was such a sweet loving kitten and i'll miss him very much.

Oh no..Oh SM, I am so sorry. I wish I had comforting words for you right now, it's so hard to lose a baby. Sammy knew love the short time he was here and that means a lot.

SM, that's so awful, I'm so sorry. Poor little guy. They make a place in your heart so quickly, don't they? He was a very lucky little boy to be rescued by you, you made him happy and gave him so much love while he was with you, and you looked after him so well, to his very last moments. I'm so sorry you lost him.

Maybe you'll feel like opening your heart to another fur baby who needs a loving home sometime. When I lost my Sid at 16 1/2 years, the house was SO lonely without him that I couldn't stand it, and we arranged for adoption of two sibling kittens within two weeks. (from Kalamazoo Animal Rescue)
Didn't take away the pain of missing my dear orange boy, but it was wonderful to watch the new ones play and cavort. Made me smile and laugh again.
maybe, sammy was never planned though, i always wanted a cat but we were never sure weather to get one because we have a dog and 2 children already my youngest is only 2 so she has no idea but my 5 year old is at school today so i dont know how i'm going to tell him about sammy leaveing us, but i am much more of a cat person than a dog our dog belongs to my husbend, i'm sorry you lost your kitty too but at 16 and a half it sounds like he had a good life with you xxx

is rainbow bridge what you call heven?, i thought people would think i was crazy to be so emotional over sammy because i only had him for a 5 days but you all seem to understand. i really did do everything i could for my baby i was with him day and night i used to go and check on him a few times in the middle of the nighti was so totally smitten with him:(

SM, I am so very sorry. But Sammy knew love and you gave him the greatest gift of all. Yes, the Rainbow Bridge is heaven. Here is the story:
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sammy was so lucky to have had you for his short time on earth. RIP beautiful Sammy. I'm sure as time passes your pain will rise to the possibility of taking in another kitty in dire need of a furever home. Sammy knows how much love you have to give a kitten and would want you to use that love. The shelters are filled to the rafters with babies who need a home. Sending you prayers for courage and strength during this painful time. {{{{Hugs}}}}
*Mamma Kitty strolls through the beautiful green grass to meet the newcomer. "Hello little one. What is your name?"
The kitten stops to look up at the sky, staring in amazement at the glorious rainbow that seems to light up the entire meadow, before answering her. "I'm Sammy. Where am I?"
"This is the meadow just before the Rainbow Bridge. It is a place where we all come to wait after we leave our former lives. I am Mamma Kitty. I just got here a few weeks ago. I take care of some of the kittens who arrive here." With that, Mamma Kitty began to wash Sammy's ears.
Sammy began to purr loudly. "What are we waiting for?"
Mamma Kitty continued with Sammy's bath as she answered him. "We wait for the people who love us. Eventually they will come and take us across the Bridge to an even more beautiful place where we will live with them forever."
"You mean those wonderful people who rescued me will come for me and I will get to be with them forever?!" Sammy could barely control his joy, although he somehow managed to stay still for his bath.
"Yes," Mamma Kitty purred. "You will get to live with them forever. Until then, I and the others here will take care of you."*

Simple go to the pound or shelter and see which baby picks you! You cna also look in the classifieds the pet section for kittens and litters needing a good home, or hit a local petsmart! If after seeign those cute little bundles of need you decide you can't or aren't ready tell hubby. Shh my suggestion if you have some free time go by yourself and see that wya you don't set up the family and posiibly disappoint!
