  1. I have hit the roughest patch of my life. I am losing my job and have no savings left after having three layoffs in the past nine years. At the least, I am totally humbled. :) I have a job interview tomorrow for a position as an events coordinator at the winery where I work on call. If you have room for me in your prayers, please say a few for me and Cato, thank you! Elizabeth

  2. Many prayers for you. Yahoo jobs has has many articles with resume tips lately so that might be a good resource for polishing your resume. I hope you knock em dead in your interview.

  3. Elizabeth...you & Cato both have lots of Love & Prayers being sent that you nail this job interview in the head & are once again, gainfully employed. You definately live in a part of our state that I consider 'God's Country'. I love the beauty of that area.

  17. Well, I had the interview and I was stoked and then I got in my car and the usual internal dialog started about how could they possibly hire me, I have so little experience in the wine industry........sometimes I think there should be a switch in the brain that turns it off :)

I really appreciate the support of my TDK friends and as soon as I know, I will let you know if I get the job :) Love you, Elizabeth

  25. Elizabeth sometimes it is easy to ever analyze a conversation. Please know that you are very talented and determined, and that makes up for not being an expert. The job can teach you to be an expert. By the way you have been working with wine and you probably know a lot more than you think. My prayers are with you, that you may soon find the perfect position.

  26. If you've drank their wine...you have the experience!

Elizabeth...you are beyond talented & hopefully they will see that. Continued Prayers being sent that you get the position.

  27. Liz I don't know what position it is you're applying for but I do know the wineries there in the valley are really big on the hiring of locals...you're intelligent and wreak of personality *another big plus in Napa Valley* so think positive and we'll keep sending you good thoughts and prayers. Headbonks to Cato!!

  28. Elizabeth, I have a friend who works for Mondavi and when he was hired he had 0 wine experience. But he had some great ideas and took the time to convey them to Mr. Mondavi. He was offerred a job on the spot and has never looked back. You can learn about the wine.

  29. Wow...what a small world after all. My sister Karenopa worked for Mondavi for yrs. as well.

Posted 2 years ago by feral #

  30. Oh Wow! What a small world!!!! I worked for a couple of years as a bottling line technician back in the early 80's! Mr. Mondavi was absolutely fantastic to work for. I know that his family of employees there are missing him terribly since his passing. Great place to work! =)
