  1. I spoke with the vet and they did a barium xray of Wilma and finally found something! It appears Wilma is full of sh*# which made them investigate further. Her intestines have a suspicious area of thickening. He hypothesizes that it could be scar tissue from her last surgery when she ate my shoes. There could be a narrowing due to this and her poop can't get thru. The poop may be old, making her have a temp because it is "rotting" inside of Wilma. He is turning Wilma over to the new young vet who is recently graduated and he says more up on these soft tissue surgeries. He will assist. They are going to do a biopsy of the tissue and send it to the Univ of Wisconsin Vet School just to be safe. Please, please, please pray for Wilma!

  15. Well no, not the WHOLE shoe, just the rubber off the bottom. It clogged her up and they had to pick all the pieces out of her intestines. Emergency, on a SUNDAY night. You can imagine how much fun that was for them to call in all the staff at 8pm on a Sunday night. But they were able to save her! They even put all the rubber in a baggie to show me when I picked her up, it was amazing how much was in her.

  16. Thank goodness for a diagnosis, finally! Of course it makes sense that her stuck poop would be giving her the fever/infection...I pray for Wilma's successful surgery and that she will be on the mend soon! {{{Hugs}}}

  17. I'll even let her snuggle with Mr. Monkey when she gets home from the hospital!

  18. MC, where had that shoe been??? Muat have been someplace that smelled/tasted pretty good to Wilma ;-)

    Mac and Grommie are 'in love' with my sandals that I wear when I visit their 'cousin' Bo (my Uncle's Boxer); they treat them like catnip ~ rub all over them and slobber too, but, luckily, they don't try to eat them ;-)

    All paws, fingers, and toes are also crossed here for Wilma's complete recovery, in addition to our prayers.

  20. I am sorry to hear that surgery is necessary, I had so prayed that this would pass. Wilma after this we must seriously discuss you diet. Listen kitteh's are to eat cheezeburgers--nothing other than cat food--boring--and cheezeburgers! Prayers that Wilma will sail through this and be able to return home soon where she is loved and missed. Betty please remember even though your buddy stinks--it is not her fault. The icky vet person got her and made her that way. Forgive the smell and let her be your best buddy again!

    Prayers of courage, strength, and peace to you MC. Please know that TDK has you all in our thoughts and prayers.

There is a ton of healing energy coming your way from downunder and another ton of positive energies for skill and care coming to the surgeons who are going to be taking care of you. And many many {{{HUGS}}} for you and your Mama and Betty.

  25. Oh, no!!! Poor baby, Wilma!! (and Betty & Amy). What time is the surgery tomorrow? I'll be sure to say a few extra prayers. At least you have answers as to why she's been so sick and now they can do something about it. {{{hugs}}}

  27. My brother has had three surgeries to remove infected parts of his intestines in the past. After the last one, where they removed one third of his colon, he asked me what my favorite punctuation mark was. I was puzzled over the question until he told me that his favorite was now the semi-colon. :-)

    I am so relieved that the problem is found and now will be treated. White light and prayers to Wilma. We ask for God to guide the hands of the surgeons and everyone caring for Wilma. We pray for a quick recovery and for Wilma to go back to her old self. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
