  3. On the other thread, MC said that the surgery had been postponed until the afternoon because emergency cases had come in during the morning. Wilma's to be the first up "after lunch", though.

  5. It's 3:00 where Wilma is; she's probably either in surgery or being awakened from anesthesia by now. Still here to wait for word.

  9. Been running around all day and was hoping to log onto TDK and get some good news about Wilma. MC, where are you?

  10. Wilma is FINALLY out of surgery. Sorry so long to post as it was a nightmare to fire the girl today! She did not go down without a fight. Anyways, in surgery they found NOTHING wrong with Wilma! NOTHING! The vet said Wilma had the best looking, nicest insides she had seen on a four year old. No blockage, no obstruction and no scar tissue. They did a biopsy of her intestines and liver and lymph nodes. So they still do NOT know what is going on with her. Looks like she might be in for a long time. Keep in her your prayers!

  11. Goodness - what could it be, then? Do you mean that she's going to be in the hospital for a long time, MC? Oh, I hope not!

    Wilma we are all praying for you. Get well, little girl!

  12. I wonder if her intestines had a kink in them (medical term?). Maybe when they opened her up it unkinked, but I think they'd see where all her waste has stopped passing. What a mystery!! Poor little one. Get well, Miss Wilma. You are needed and wanted at home!!

  15. She has now seen three vets and NONE of them can find anything wrong with her. She remains lethargic and feverish but all tests are normal. They even consulted the veterinary school at the Univ of Wisconsin and ran those test too, all normal! She has everyone stumped. I am kinda glad she is an office "favorite" because I think she is getting a little better treatment. Last time she was so upset, she got to sleep in the vet's offices away from the other animals. The biopsies are going to the U of Wisconsin and should be back Monday or Tuesday.

  16. Oh wow, it is still a big mystery. Poor Wilma! Sending more healing prayers that the vet can find what ails her.

  17. How frustrating... nice to know there is nothing wrong, but there is something wrong. ugh.... more healing energies to Wilma... and strength to MC ! oh, and scritches to Betty.

  18. Oh my..poor Wilma! Prayers and positive thoughts to our girl and to you too MC..I know you are beside yourself with worry!

  19. This is definitely a relief and frightening at the same time. WTH? I sure hope they find out what's making sweet Wilma so sick. Wow...I know that girl is special but does she have to be THAT special? Get well sweetie! {{{Wilma}}}

    MC I'm so sorry that the firing turned out to be such an ordeal for you. Please...tonight pour yourself a glass of wine and soak in a nice hot bubblebath! {{{MC}}}

  20. How cute! I was talking to the vet and she said that as we were talking Wilma was trying to get up for the first time after surgery and then the vet said "OH! Wipe Out! She's wobbly like a drunk sailor!" She crawled back under her blankie!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  21. Awwwww...Poor Wilma! A 'Drunken Sailor'!!! Sending your little girl prayers that she wakes up with everything looking normal.

    Posted 2 years ago by Karenopa #

  22. Just wondering if Wilma had an intussusception of her intestines. How frustrating to not find anything MC. Sending Healing Energy for Wilma and {{{hugs}}} for MC after a very stressful day.

  23. MC - is FF available to just give you a big hug for all of us ??? Accompanied by your favorite adult beverage and hopefully a cuddly Betty.

    Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  24. All I have is a cuddly Betty and dinner from Panera (Tomato Soup and Italian Combo 1/2 Sammie). FF is at the station today and he has called twice to check on Wilma (surprised me that he cared enough about a cat!)

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  25. Yay for FF! And yay for Betty being Cuddly.....and yay for Panera, of course!

    Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  26. Good job FF !!! Sounds like he has a good heart... :) He was worried about YOU and used the cat as the reason to call.... ;)

    Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  27. Awwwwww..That is really very sweet of FF to call and check on Wilma. I'd say you got yourself a keeper MC. =)

    Posted 2 years ago by Karenopa #

  28. Ok, well I turned away to type and Betty had her head in my tomato soup from Panera! She likes it too! You know its funny cause FF said last night he knows that I will find something about him to hate, he just knows it! What? I said nobody is perfect and we all have things that annoy others but that is life. Apparently his exwife had a lot of things she hated about him! I feel bad about that, I think she really hurt him!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  29. Awww, poor FF :(
    I've had exes where I didn't particularly care for certain traits or habits of theirs, but I've never found anything to hate. FF's ex doesn't sound like a very nice person.

  30. How frustrating, Amy! I can't imagine what in the world is wrong with poor Wilma!!! If she has a fever, she must have some sort of infection or even a virus??? Can cats get viruses??? I don't know, but I feel for you! I pray this will get resolved! I am glad she is getting special care :) Bless Wilma and You and Betty!
