Woohoo, welcome home Harry. There will be lots of new smells for you to identify.
I'll have a coffee thanks MCW. Just doing 10 minutes exercise, so if I disappear that's what I'm off doing.Posted 1 month ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Know the feeling Deb. Found myself nodding off earlier in the evening so I had a power nap and felt better for it. Sleeping on the job wouldn't be a good look for you so you have my sympathy.

Hi, sorry, we're still here - Harry spent a bit of time behind the bookcase, but then came out when I called him, and is currently settled on Chris' lap, moulting for England...where's that Furminator?!!

MCW, was his name already Harry or is he already answering to his new name. Awwwwwwwww, tucked up on new Daddy's lap, that's great progress.

Sorry, I whined and ran, lol, but now I'm back. Have you done your kilometreage for tonight, MS? MCW, how exciting to have Harry home, and already asleep on Daddy's lap. Deb, should I pass you some matchsticks to help prop your eyes open...?
It was a lovely day here, I spent almost all of it in the garden and feel very good thanks to all that exercise! I have fixed the drunken spidery bit of the path, it is almost looking like a normal path now, and my beautiful deep red rhododendron is out for the first time ever, it looks spectacular! Well, small but perfectly formed, lol.
-
We have no idea what his name might have been, but my fantasy was to have a ginger and white called Harry...and yes, he seems to be answering to it, I've used it a lot talking to him when I've visited the past few days. It suits him anyway!
He's now wandering again, and the other cats are NOT impressed at having a shut door in the house!!

jcat, congrats on the fixing of the drunken spidery path and the rhododendron being out :)
MCW, Harry knows a good thing when he sees it.
MS, when I was getting dressed to come here, sat for a min in the living room chair....big mistake, fell asleep and woke up @ 11.15 (23.15) p.m. so was in a panic of course because I leave the house @ 11 normally....still made it to work in time but normally try to get here 30 mins early, but not today.

I did 4.5km this evening and 5 km this morning Jcat.
We had a great day here too, went with Mum and niece LyNZ(very occasional poster here) to my brother place to plant potatoes so we have them for Christmas dinner. He and my SIL are in France at the moment visiting their other 'daughter', a French student who lived with them for a year. it's been a few years since they have seen each other and we all miss her back here. Still haven't managed to get my lawns(hay paddock) mown and rain is forecast again so can't see it happening in the next few days. I was hoping to have the place tidy for Airy's return.Posted 1 month ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Ooh, MS, you must be getting excited! Airy will soon be home, and just in time for the nicer weather!
That's so cool that you have a French 'niece'. What a wonderful excuse to go to France, to go and visit her! What part of France is she from?
Hee hee, my lawns look like they need a haybaler.
Deb, absolutely HATE that feeling of panic when you're running late for work, eek, sounds like you're not getting enough sleep right now. Are you enjoying the new house and being closer to Lynn?
-
Eeeekkkk! Hope you weren't speeding Deb. I'm a bit sleepy because we lost an hour with Daylight saving coming in last night. When I turned the light off last night it was almost 3am, must have chatted on here a bit. Only got 5 hours sleep too before HRH woke me by using me as a trampoline. i open the bedroom window and she is happy sitting on the lower storey roof in the sun for another 30 minutes.

Love the new house, so do the cats they have lots more space to do the 'elephant thundering run' throughout, lol. Plus I put up shelves under one of the windows so they can lie on them while watching the backyard, and the front room window has an ottoman and bench under the window so they can do the same thing there. They love the front room window because they can see the neighbors and goings on like the cars driving down the road, like little old people window peeping...

Lol, sure they do the 'run' while I am sleeping! And Kitty is the nosiest one of all, can't pull the blinds shut in the bedroom because he wants it open to see outside. Need to put up a curtain rod on that window so room darkening curtains can be hung.

The other cats have their noses out of joint as my Nana would say. Sounds like Harry knows when he's onto a good thing and is going to settle in fine MCW.

"elephant thundering run" - LOL!! That's Eric to a T. We imagine him shouting "charge" or "tally-ho" as he yomps up and down the hallway :o)
Harry's having a bit of quiet time behind the bookcase again, so I've been sorting him out some food bowls.

Shadz can sound like a herd of elephants without even trying and she's not a big cat. She loves to race up the stairs, along the hallway then leap from the doorway onto the bed and we swear we hear a small voice yelling Geronimo. She normally lands on Mr MS and then he makes a noise like a seal grunting. Cracks me up everytime.
