  9. KW must have starched KM's boxers!

Posted 2 years ago by KapitiKats in NZ #

  10. Snert!
    Off to have lunch now.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  11. CM I am hoping that Abby will have some relief soon--those teeth will be put to good use when they finally make their way in!

AV the steak is on its way!

KW I did a field green salad with grape tomatoes. Andi made mashed potatoes. I was trying to talk her into a baked potato, but she doesn't really like baked as much.

KW is it a computer issue or a site issue?

  12. One should never yell at ones wife about not having laundered pants when she just got out of the ER at the hospital--he got what he deserved. Personally his daughter looked at him and said I know this is impolite, but Dad you are just wrong!

  13. LOL!.... SM!....

  14. AV, bet you look cute in your Hello Kitty pj's! SM, how were the little quiche's for church? They sounded so good and tasty!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  15. I have decided to have homemade cream of carrot soup for dinner. be right back, i need to start cooking the carrots...

Posted 2 years ago by CSBM #

  16. I'm watching--half heartedly--Wolverine. Daughter put it in. What are you off to watch AV? You know Abby is simply warming your seat!

Wonderful MC. I overcooked the last batch, but the first was simply perfect. Everyone seemed to love them. I actually ran out of food today. I have done hospitality for so long, and I normally come home with something--not this time! I made croissants, petite quiche, marble fudge bread, berry bread, Special K crackers, colby jack cheese cubes, dried apricots, and jellybeans. I always put out a dish of candy, and when I looked at the candy nothing looked good except the jellybeans. Pretty strange, but oh so tasty! Anyway I really got wiped out!

  17. what is an iron ???

ha ha ha !!! i once told a friend i was genetically unable to iron, and she didn't believe me...

Posted 2 years ago by CSBM #

  18. SM, I'm watching back episodes of shows I've taped on TVO the last week - I like Numbers, NCIS, Top Chef and So you think you can dance....... (I have a lot to catch up on !... LOL)

Cheri - you and me both - allergic to ironing!... I would try so hard when I was a teen, come out of my room ( after spending an hour ironing my dress ) and my mother would say "why don't you iron that"..... I gave up soon!.. LOL ... Mother and I laugh about it still today! I just wasn't born with that ironing gene!...

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  19. I don't have the ironing gene either. It skipped over this generation cause my mom still irons her sheets!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  20. Don't hate me but......MrKK did my ironing last night. I did give him a gentle warning about checking the temperature wasn't too hot as he ruined a skirt recently.

Posted 2 years ago by KapitiKats in NZ #

  21. Oh Mr. KK is a good guy!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  22. I have missed all of Top Chef and it is my favorite. I just haven't taken time for things like TV--perhaps that is the root of all health ailments! Mom was almost screaming at me that I was killing myself. This from the woman who taught me to take care of everyone and put everyone else ahead of myself. But I have to say that after all I have learned this past week--I need some me time. And I swear the iron will be aimed at his head if he ever does that to me again. Although I think Andi really was the one that got through to him and made him feel like Harry's poo!

Once upon a time hubby always ironed his uniforms, although he would never touch any of my stuff.

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  23. wow! mr. sm used to iron his uniforms? good for you sm on thinking you need you time, cause you do. its all about quality if it can't be quanity.

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  24. ...luckily for me, I married a man that can Iron!... I thanked MIL profusely over the past 25 yrs for that!.... he irons beautifully, and will do my stuff if I ask... however, the past Fathers' Day, the kids and I bought him a "steamer" from Sharper Image, and I don't think either of us will ever have to iron again!... that thing is the greatest trick since sliced bread!....

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  25. ooh, I like shortcuts! I have seen those steamers and always wondered about them.....

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  26. I too have wondered if they work--you know what will be on my Christmas list!

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  27. the only advise I have about steamers is, don't get a "cheappie one"..... I worked two jobs when I was a single gal, the second being in a clothing store, and we had to use an industrial steamer to steam all the new items before they went on the floor... it was great!... when I shopped for Hubbs steamer, I made sure it was a good one, and sturdy!.... we love it,and seriously, don't really ever have to iron any more!....

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  28. ooh I love it and I think it is so worth the cost!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  29. You would reccommend the Sharper Image steamer though.

Posted 2 years ago by SoxsMom #

  30. SM, I went and looked at the "brand" name, and it's a Rowenta Commercial brand steamer...... I can't truly remember if we got it at Sharper Image, or Brookstone, but it may have been Linens & things...... point is, it is a good one, and has served us well.... I do remember that the SI or BrkStn offered life time guarentees and that was BIG!..... I'm thinking it was one of the first two......
