   i just noticed this but spaz makes these high pitched squeaky noise, my husband noticed it like a couple days ago, he heard it and was wondering what it was then it stopped when he looked at spaz and started when he looked away and then joey saw him out of his peripheral vision and saw spaz's mouth open. what is he doing? is he trying to communicate with something or someone?

   Spaz is probably making chirping sounds, his way of communicating. Is he acting stressed or at ease when making these sounds Sweetamy? Try chirping back to him gently and see what he does.

   It sounds like your kitty is chirping!
   Most of the time, cats will chirp when they see potential prey... Usually in my house it happens when they see a fly or a moth. Not all kitties do it but it is pretty silly!

   Not all cats sound the same when they do it. One of my fosters keeps his mouth open when he does it.

   it sounded higher pitched, do u remember those old cameras that had the flash that made a sound when u turned it on? it sounded exactly like that. i think that might be his way of chirping

   My cats usually aren't after anything either. All it takes is a fly to zoom by and it just happens! Its so silly! They can't even help it.

   I think he was a contented kitty and maybe just getting your attention to play or admire him more. Talk to him when he does that and you may get a conversation going. Enjoy it and enjoy Spaz in his cute moments.

    that's the sound my kit makes when his new drinking straw has gone under the pantry door or fridge, there must be 20 straws under there now, or when he just wants attention... he almost sounds like R2D2 making noise.

    My kitten, Bianca chirps! She is our first cat who does so. She never meows and she will chirp at anything. Its pretty funny!
