  1. Insurance! Insurance, insurance, insurance!!!

Here in the UK, you can get very good cover for life (enabling ongoing claims for lifelong / long term conditions diagnised after inception) for around £6/month if you start the policy at kittenhood; £8/9 for a 4-5 year old, and upwards from that. I pay about £21 a month to cover all our three; money I can budget for. I'd find thousands if I needed to - somehow - but would say to any cat owner GET THEM INSURED!!!

  2. MCW, oh I agree wholeheartedly, they love Gizmo a lot but heavens what a price to pay

  4. By the way, I'd do the same thing if necessary!

  5. I priced the VPI and it ran at about $24 a month per kitten, with a discount for the 5th one ($20 off the whole price) which seems really expensive for me. I would be spending $100+ /month to cover the kits. Is there another, more affordable pet insurance?

  6. How about ASPCA Pet Insurance? I don't know anything about it other than I get something in the mail every so often.

Hmm..that may be more expensive. I just tried doing a quote for my two and it came to $51 a month at the Advantage Plan. If I reduce to the basic it comes to about $14 a month.
