Good Evening all! It is a cool windy fall night here at the NS office. The kittehs are all snuggling and looking for laps to sleep in. We will have the grill open for your orders, let the big Tuxie behind the counter know what is your poison. There is also a fully stocked bar as well as warm cider to fill you up. Please come and join us, share your day and have something yummy. Don't forget to grab a kit to love on. Happy Monday Night!

...... helps self to a large chocolate martini and sits down by the fire..... picks up a nice cat magazine and starts to read..... ahhhhhhh, relaxing after a hetic day!...
... update on car - my (very nice and very honest) mechanic fixed my car today - it was just some dumb switch that only cost $14.00..... had I taken it to the dealership, it probably would have cost me over $100.....
.... curls up in hello kitty pjs, and begins to read.....

I missed class tonight. I feel horrible. I went to the clinic. They turned me away because they were full. The ER isn't where I need to be. I got my appointment with the specialist. October 12. The medical reports state I need immediate attention, and that equals a 21 day wait from the time the emergency referral went in. The mass is now big enough to feel, wonder if that is good or bad. All I know is I hurt and I am exhausted. I keep crying and I don't get it.

may i please have a large, thick angus ribeye, cooked medium rare ? if there's a bone-in i can give it to the big dog upstairs that is very noisy with his feet. thank you.
the problem that i see with the dog is that he's a youngish golden retriever stuck in an apartment alone all day long. when Frank comes home at 3pm, the dog is so glad to see him that the dog jumps up and down and races around the apartment all night long. i have no peace and quiet and that p*SSes me off...
i've talked to Frank, a late 20-something, till i'm blue in the face. now i'm taking more aggressive action...
i would like a peaceful resolution to this problem. any suggestions ???

Hi, everyone, just popping my head in before I drive down to Wellington.
{{{{SM}}}} Are your family taking care of you? Are you getting enough support? You seem to me to be still doing way too much for someone who is tired and in pain. I wish I were there in person to give you a big hug and MAKE you rest. Please take better care of you, we need you!

Drive safe JCAT, we need as many healthy TDK'ers that we can get!

SM!.... I'm worried about you too!... you need to be seen! will your normal doctor not squeeze you in for an emergency?...... where is WWM when you need her!!!!!......can you go to a walk in clinic and get a referral for the ER so you don't have to wait all night?..... please keep us updated!
Jcat, drive safely and have a good time in Welly!
... Cheri, I don't have an answer to the dog problem, except report it to the landlord, or call the local authorities.... we have a noise ordinance down here, and people are fined if they or their pets violate it!......
...waves to MS & LB!.... hi ladies!

Jcat, have a safe trip over them there hills. i see on the rain radar there is a bit of rain around Welly.
I'm just popping my head in briefly too, Mr MS rang to say he would be home tonight and I ran out of potatoes several days ago. Must buy some. We have big black clouds coming over the ranges around my city so I have a feeling I'm going to get wet. Also the lightning tracker I've been watching is showing heaps of storm and for another part of the country there is a severe storm warning out with possible small tornadoes. Already had one this week. See you all later, maybe(wink wink)Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

I saw the regular doctor and he was the one that put in the emergency referral based on his tests and the ER's tests. I can't get in any sooner. I have to clear the urologist, why, I don't know why, before seeing the nephrologist. God knows how long before I see the nephrologist. The mass is easy to feel on my left kidney. Dr. said that is why my back hurts. He said take a sedative or vicodin. Vicodin doesn't work at all. As far as my family, I seem to have turned them into monsters. They are upset because I am not able to keep up my regular pace. They want laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, clean the bathroom, clean up the backyard, scoop the litter boxes, carry 4 classes, teach 5 classes, run 2 after school programs and 1 before school program, tutor, cook for the church, and be every where daughter is for her Senior year. I am doing everything, but not well. I am overwhelmed. I told hubby I was going to the clinic and he was screaming at me over the phone because he has stuff he has to do. I hung up on him. And worst of all I am sitting here complaining, which will not help the situation.

Good evening, y'all! I will have a scotch on the rocks please... and a medium rare slice of prime rib, with fried green tomatoes with crabmeat sauce, and a baked potato! No diet tonight! SM, so sorry about the appt limbo you seem to be in! Can you can your primary care/main doc on this matter and wheedle your way in? Don't take no for an answer - better yet, get someone else to call since you need to rest as much as possible!

LB you aren't having flu problems are you?
JCat you be careful in the rain! Hope you have a safe and quick trip!
Cheri have you suggested that Frank take the dog out for a walk or a run? It would give them time to bond. Most dogs will settle down after a good workout. He could spend time with his furry friend and wear him out, so he will settle down for the evening.

SM, I really think this is one time you just have to stop, focus and worry about you! We are all very worried about you! We need you!

SM, my heart is aching for you. I think hubby and daughter need to attend a special visit to the doctor's with you, so that he can explain to them, kindly but firmly, what you are facing and that YOU NEED REST. And I think a quiet talk with the church and the school from the doctor on your behalf might be advisable as well. Ye Gods and Little Fishes, if the prognosis is challenging, you are going to need all your strength, you need to be conserving it now! {{{HUGS}}}

SM, I was writing while you posted... sorry for overlap! Do you want me to send Puzzles of the long sharp claws and nasty temper thru the wormhole to "talk" with hubby and daughter? She has not had an adventure for a while, and I am sure she would enjoy the trip!

And forget the ironing! and the folding! I have not ironed for years! Except for the honors stole for my daughter's graduation last spring! It is an over-rated activity! And as for folding clothes, I know that adult males can do this task, as can senior girls! In fact, it will be good practice for daughter when she heads off to college! You Sit and relax!

....ahem...... "mountains of laundry and piles of ironing".... SM, they can fold their own clothes and if they need ironing, they can do it themselves!...... you must REST!.....
..... I stopped doing my childrens' laundry when they went to high school.... I taught them well their freshman year, and told them it was their responsibility from now on out!.... Hubbs is well trained - not only does he do his own laundry, he irons it if need be!... (helps that I am HORRIBLE at ironing to begin with)...... do not let them take advantage of you!... if you need time to rest and heal, then they must give it to you.... trust me, they'll survive!.......

And she should not be disturbed! Move away quietly to a nice comfy spot on the sofa, and relax... Deep breating, in thru the nose and out thru the mouth, and image whatever it might be on your kidney shrinking into nothingness. The deep breathing really helps! Hugs to SM!!! Purrs and headbonks (gentle ones) from Puzzles, Hester, Luke and Leia!
