  4. PIKA! Hi! I am still feeling kinda yucky. I have nurse Betty here with me. She is snoring away on my lap. Nurse Wilma is on break right now.

  5. I saw earlier they were being naughty nurses and fighting!! little pickles! they should be good girls looking after their precious patient not fighting over you, lol!

  6. yes they are being PICKLES, not behaving at all!

  7. Ooh - cute moo kitty just delivered donuts and cider to my desk! Thanks MC. Hi Pika! I'm sorry you're still feeling lousy MC but I'm sure your nurses will have you back on your feet soon - if only to scoop their litter and feed them. Dara is back off to the vet today for a follow-up on her 'cold'. She has started to eat again and is not quite so snuffly but she does still sound wheezy. MrKK has struggled to give her the medicine in the syringe so I hope we don't have to do more of that.

  8. Hi again, all!

I tried sprinkling the diatomaceous earth everywhere, including directly on the mattress, but it didn't work. Auntie Ellen just sent me an email that sid to either se rubbing alcohol directly on the bed or to iron the bed. I will have to try that.
An interesting development is that both boys seem to really like the air mattress!!! Bobby was sleeping on it when I got home from practice and Mi has been sleepig on it most of the time since :)

Tomorrow is the fist match of the season and turns out one lady on the team we're playing just lost her husband and the funeral is tomorrow. I've spent the better part of the day trying to reschedule matches. Some will still play tomorrow, but I have to reschedule mine and I'll still have to make the alf-hour drive to the other club tomorrow to captain the matches. Arrrgh!

  9. Giving kitty meds is no fun. I must admit giving Wilma shots has been the easiest administration of meds I have ever had with a kitty!

  10. I decided to go to the grocery at lunch and bought myself a bunch of honeycrisp apples! I also grabbed gatorade, cottage cheese, yogurt and other things that are easy on the tummy. I am not sure if I will be able to actually eat an apple today, but I have one here to smell at least!

MC, glad Wilma is being cooperative. GD, sorry about the bugs!

  11. I hate those bugs - I have battled them for over a month now and it seems they're winning! I have literally hundreds of bites over my entire body.
As for the air mattress, it seems some kitty may have attacked it it's looking very short on air an I just blew it up again an hour ago.

MC, are the girls still fighting?

Posted 1 month ago by GreatDane #

  12. Oh GD, that really sounds awful! I hear they are really hard to get a hold of. I read somewhere that it took more than three blastings with pesticides to get rid of the little buggers. I read somewhere that they are trying a new thing using heat that is suppose to kill them.

  13. Oh yes, the girls are still fighting like they don't know each other. At least wilma feels well enough to fight back now.

  14. GD - try setting your hairdryer on its highest setting and blasting that across the bed in addition to the ironing (nasty word) idea.

  15. I am sure you have seen this GD..but thought I would post it anyway :)

  16. Maybe you need one of those steam machines AV has to steam your bed!

    Posted 1 month ago by mollycat71 #

  17. Thanks, CM, that's interesting. I texted XBF that I need his iron - hopefully that'll work. I also need to vacuum and do a thorough cleaning.
At least I didn't get any new bites last night, sleeping on the air mattress.

MC, sorry the girls are fighting - bad girls!

  18. The steam machine would be a good idea! If nothing else the bugs would be clean and wrinkle free!

  19. Well, seems you have done all that link suggests, GD..maybe time to ask the owner of the house to do an extermination at their expense since it is their house. Same thing I would ask of my landlord if it happened in my place, perish the thought!!

  20. Evening everyone!.... home from work, fed and have on HK pjs!.... relaxing and waiting for our TV show to start!...... how was everyone's day? .... Mine was productive to say the least!..... CM, butter nut squash - treat just like a sweet potatoe - roast it, mash it, combine it with other root veggies.... brown suggar, butter, salt/pepper and fresh thyme... it's all good!... yummmm!!!

  21. Well, he already had an exterminator out about a month ago. They had bed bugs in the rest of the house then, but not in my room. Now they're everywhere, so whatever they did, didn't work!

I wish I was at home in my pjs. I've got another hour at the gym, then going to XBF's to pick up his iron and should be home by ten. I didn't sleep well on the air mattress last night, so I' feeling tired :(

  22. awww, poor GD!

Posted 1 month ago by AbbigaleViolet #

  23. I'm going to try ironing the bed, vacuuming it and cleaning up - if not, I may have to look for something else.
