   ...either that or somehow cats just know that I am.

   You might know that my cousin was able to trap the last feral cat and he brought it this morning to me. Tonight I was trying to transfer him from the trap into a cage so it would be easier to get him to the farm. He wasn't having it. So I gave up and sat there for a minute and he figured out that I wasn't completly blocking the path from the trap to the cage. So, he got out and came and sat on my lap. Now, he is supposed to be feral. Why in the world would a feral cat (who is in a strange place) go and sit on someone's lap?:

   a) this cat isn't feral
   b) he knows that I am really soft-hearted when it comes to cats.
   c) all of the above

   I don't know if he just knows that I am not his enemy or if he isn't feral or if it is both...

   So, I got him easily into the carrier and took him to the farm. I put the carrier down while I was getting the other large cage ready. I didn't notice but I had put the carrier down in front of the cage with the other feral in it and they could see eachother. My new buddy somehow talked the feral into being nice to me.

   While I was putting my buddy into the large cage I had set up for him he again walked onto my lap and then headbumped me. To top it off he starting purring. Think my parents would kill me if I took him home?

   His possible brother is also supposed to be feral decided he wanted to be nice to me. So while I was cleaning his cage he starting purring and rubbed against me arm. Yesterday he tried to hide...either he is another cat or the new cat is very good at convincing cats to do things against there will.

   Now, the two "ferals" are not feral instead are tame purring machines. They acting totally feral for my cousins...I think they know that if they are really friendly they may be able to talk me into giving them a home. They haven't gotten loved their whole lives and really want to be loved now. Very hard leaving the farm tonight without taking them with me.

   Now how in the world would someone even think of shooting these two friendly guys?

   Most of us here at TDK have an invisible "sucker" carved into our foreheads that only other felines can see. It's a secret club "FF52"!!! But be honest now, don't you love being chosen? Cats rule.

   Oh yeah, I have sucker on me somewhere and sometimes it must light up and flash for Shadz to see. Mr MS's 'sucker' sign was in fine form tonight and Shadz got a second dinner from Mr MS, and just after I had told him that she had been fed already.! ! Go figure.
   Have fun with the two 'tame' 'wild cats'.

    When Rotley and Ruggles met me, the thoughts that went through their furry little heads were:

    "There's the lady who will get up immediately when we go into our 4 AM 'I want my snackies and I want them NOW' dance."

    "She will risk life and limb crawling through the closets looking for us, when we are hiding just to annoy her."

    "Financial ruin may be right around the corner, but we will get our kitty toys, litter, food, and snackies before she buys her own food."

    Oh, yeah, they know a sucker when they see one! :)

    Yep FF50, you're a sucker - the best kind! These kitties are great judges of character.

    These boys might not be feral, even though they've been living rough. My brother rescued a "feral" cat once and took her into the vet's to be spayed. They opened her up and found she was already spayed. Woops!

    I would love to be a sucker too but unfortunately live in an apartment where they only limit the amount of cats you can be a sucker to. I have my limit of two.

    .... "raises paw"..... HUGE "S" on forehead!...... Abby was a feral born kitten through the Francis, Charlie, Ivan hurricanes in Fla. and is now my velcroe, soul mate/lap cat!.... who knew?

    The two ferals are eartipped so already fixed. Though here most places don't eartip the cat if it is adoptable?

    Tonight the newer guy sat on my lap purring away, not worried about anything. However he really gave me a headbump, I think he is part buffalo with how hard he really can hit you. He has the longest whiskers, they should be for a cat twice his size! Gonna have to take pictures sometime.

    His brother who is more wild purred for me tonight while I was petting him. No way was he going to sit on my lap. He thinks that the purring was a mistake, he really didn't mean it. Back to sitting in the corner until I got him his food and he started purring again. He isn't quite sure what to think.
