   I am soooo sleepy right now and I got up about an hour ago. I went to bed early enough, it's just that I woke up a couple of times and couldn't go back to sleep - Shiva made sure of that!

   The first time, I awoke to claws sticking into my leg every time I made the slightest move in my sleep. When I realized what was happening, I reached around to look for Shiva but she had already jumped off of the air mattress and onto her kitty condo. When I tried to go back to sleep, the loud meowing started.

   The second time I woke up, I felt the bed shaking. It was Shiva. She had jumped onto the bed, then off of the bed. She continued to do this several times over a 45 minute period which kept me awake and left me unable to go back to sleep for another half hour after she settled down.

   It was quite chilly last night, and if it hadn't been for those sweet, innocent yellow eyes, I might have had another blanket....

   I have this trouble with Oreo almost every morning. She decides that she's ready to eat...MEOW (NOW) and we've found that brash, loud, grating MEOW (NOW) is so irritating and brash a way to wake up that we've taken to completely ignoring her behavior. To get up and give in to her demands only serves to validate it and we just can't have that. Slowly she has learned to wait..til we're up and have had our first cup of coffee and now she'll gently approach us with a much more mellow MEW (PLEASE) instead which then we gladly turn our attention to the cats feeding stations. LOL...She has somehow taken it on as her job to get everyone fed every morning and I'm very happy with her willingness to make concessions in her manner and timing of asking for breakfast. I totally understand how you're feeling though. It's sooo hard on us to not get a full, restful nights sleep.

   Dot used to wake me up at about 3 hr intervals! Now she has changed her sleeping pattern and rarely hops on the bed...which I must admit I miss!

   Even though it leaves me walking into walls somedays, I love middle of the night kitty attention. Blackbeard will sometime come and sit his 20 lb butt on my head or if my ear is exposed will stick his nose as far in my ear as he can and start sniffing...it echos in my head not to mention how weird it feels, but I still love everything about him...

   ive fallen alseep on muffy's belly already. they like to crap and have the stench wake me up......or hey meow over the oddest things. ahhh just like babies except you dont have to worry about the adolescent years!
