Saturday I put my head in the lion's mouth

(16 posts)
  1. I'm going up to Greene to have some work done on my car, and afterwards going to my mom's for lunch and to see her new kitty. I want to see her new kitty, I'm not really interested in seeeing my mom. I haven't seen her since Velvet died september 12th and I don't want to be interrogated about my life and the work physical i'm going to have soon. I'll take as many hugs and well wishes from you TDKer's as I can get...thank you...

  2. Cheri, Mothers can be annoying at times, but take it from someone who no longer has their mother..love and enjoy every moment you can with her...she won't be around forever and you will wish like H*** you cherished even her annoying moments.

  3. Hugs for you! If it gets bad, tell your mom that it was good seeing her and grab your purse and just go, whether lunch is finished or not.

  6. Special Hang in There+Prayers for you Cheri! Like the saying goes "you can choose your friends but not your family"! But I agree with 2BPurr...try to enjoy the opportunity to share now. Someday those opportunities will only be memories! Take care...hugs/head bonks for you!

  7. There are several good answers to annoying questions.
Answer with an annoying question of your own.
Answer with a teenage non-answer then ask about what you are interested in (kitty this is sometimes known as mis-direction)

Variations of "That is none of your business." from the gentle to the profane.

And to paraphrase KYKAT, if she won't take a hint and be civil, get out of Dodge!"
