I bet it was, I bet even when they're podgy, they still like to think of themselves as lithe and lissome :)

Way long tima ago, we bought a pool table that wouldn't fit into the house so we had to buy a new one. A house that is!

*holding hand over mouth to keep from snickering about MS's adventure with the bed* There's nothing more frustrating than getting a new piece of furniture and then finding you have to rearrange things for it to fit.

I bought a new bed a few years ago, and when they moved the box springs, big ol' Ruggles was discovered clutching it from the bottom, stretched allllllllllllll the way across.
One of the delivery guys screamed and fell back against the wall, clutching his chest.
He thought Ruggles was a four-foot-long tarantula.
Ruggles jumped down, shrieked a few times at the poor man, and stalked out of the room. I swear I could hear that cat muttering, "Maintain dignity, salvage the pride."

LOL @ Emma too. When my parents bought the house in Louisville it came with a beautiful wooden desk in the basement. As mom was preparing for her move to Tenn, several people asked for the desk. Mom would have been happy to have given it away, except for one little problem. The house was literally built around the desk. It was moved in before they finished framing in the house and it isn't going anywhere!...at least not intact.

Oh my, reminds me of my piano story. In the '90's I moved to an upper flat with a winding staircase. Needless to say my piano didn't fit up the stairs! I was out of that flat in 4 monthes just because I missed my piano! Now it has a permanent home in my house with the kits!

ROFL at Emma's story. Poor Ruggles. My two cats always like to see what I am doing. If I am struggling to open something for some reason they have to stick their faces in the way and I have a pair of scissors or a knife in my hand. Do they want to be injured or do they think somehow sticking their nose in the way helps Momma open it? I have to push them away to protect them.

Oh, Emma and MS ~ Thank you both for a really great ROTFLMAO!!!!!! I think I snorted orange juice, too ~ sorry for the visual ;-)
On my last bed (a queen size) I had to move off the mattress and the box spring. Then I had to turn the box spring upside down, all of this by myself, in a tight bedroom space, which was no mean feat (the bed almost won), in order to remove the completely shredded gauze like cover on the bottom of the box spring, pieces of which were being dribbled around the house by Mac and Grommie. I replaced the shredded cover with an old queensize sheet that I staple-gunned to the box spring frame! Then I had to carefully reassemble the bed again..... Luckily, Mac and Grommie never tried to shred that old sheet off the bottom of the box spring.....

Wow MS, that was a really funny story. Thanks for sharing that, I needed it today. I have an image of you and Mr. MS attempting the whole project all the while HRH supervised!
