  1. Good Friday morning/evening everyone!

Catering by Kits' Catering: featuring all your favorite breakfast foods! Grits and cheese, sausage gravy and biscuits (kitties are SO good at making biscuits), eggs of all kinds, bacon, juices, coffee and tea, champagne, pastries, ad freshly-sliced honey-roast ham all await.

Kaboodles of kittens wait for laps and pieces of string....

  2. Good morning, Siobhan! How is your back doing today? *picking up a lovely marmie for cuddling*

  3. Good morning! My neck is a bit stiff (again). I could go for an agency kitten, perhaps a ragdoll, who likes to wrap around the back of necks. Ahhh, that would feel so good!

  4. Morning, Siobhan, LK and Joan. Ooh, champagne and pastries, how sinfully delicious! I'm just looking in on my way to bed, have a great day, everyone, hope your Friday is great and your weekend even better!

  5. Hi, Joan. That's a marvelous way to get relief from a stiff neck. And a little purring in the ear would ease the pain.

  6. Good night, Jcat! Sleep well!

  7. Morning all, busy day today but I wanted to stop in and say hello! Hope everyone has a nice day!

  8. Back's not too bad, as long as I keep up on the Vicodin :-) Thank you for asking LadyKat.

    Gray day here today....

  9. Vicki Myron, who wrote the book on Dewey Readmore Books, has now written a children's story version of the tale, called "There's a Cat in the Library!"

Highly recommended for any TDK'er with young children :-) Looks VERY sweet. You can see the cover on Amazon.

  10. MC, I hope you are feeling better today.

  11. Morning to All and prayers for those feeling under the weather, that they will recover soon! Another gray day here, we lost our power for 2 hours in the early a.m. hours...for no apparent reason. Hope everyone has a good Friday!

  13. What a lovely cat, Deb. I got sucked into looking at the other cat of the week pictures - did you see Seamus, the big orangie? What a love he looks like.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  14. Oh yeah and I love orangies :) I always get sucked into them too.

  15. Good morning, all!
MC, I hope you're feling better and that things with FF have improved. Siobhan, I'm glad the vicodin is helping your back, but I'm hoping the doctor can get to the bottom of your pain and treat it.

I've got tennis this morning - finally! I didn't get to play my match on Wednesday as my opponents had to reschedule. I went out to captain my team mates" matches, which really made me want to play. This morning I'm subbing for an acquaintance's team. It's a high level, so it should be good tennis. After tennis I'm meeting a friend for lunch and then off to work.
Tomorrow I'm working, having tea with my Panera friend and then going to a co-worker's house. Sunday I hope to play tennis in the morning with XBF and maybe see GG if he gets back at a reasonable hour and isn't too exhausted.
I'll need a weekend to rest up from this weekend!

  16. Bobby's latest movie with the peapods is very cute :-)

MC, I missed the stuff with your firefighter...

I checked with the Kent County Humane Society just now about Hadley, the badly burned kitty. This is what I got back:

"Inquiring minds want to know! :)

Hadley is doing great. He's still here and has some scabs on his back
that we want healed before he goes home.

We have identified a couple of very strong possibilities for his new
home and should be deciding next week.

    Thanks for your continued interest!
    Karen"

  17. Wonderful news about Hadley!

  18. Awww, that's great news about Hadley!

Bobby says thank you for watching his movie - he says he was too high on peas to realize he was making a movie :)

  19. T.G.I.F. from M'waukee...the sun is trying to peek out! Finally after a very windy & rainy night! Jazz was on in spite of the drizzle last nite! The "Tempters" was the group & sang the old Temptation tune, "I Wish it Would Rain"...quite the song of the evening...Ha Ha! A warm bisquit with honey butter sounds yummy and my usual black java plus a cute little bisquit colored kit for a smooch! Wishes for a great day/eve to all!

  20. Tansey cried and cried at me yesterday when I had a bowl of applesauce. She sure thought she wanted what was in the bowl.

So I let her take a sniff, and she did the kitty recoil, with the squinty eyes thing. Pretty funny. She stopped howling after that. (lol)

  23. TGIF!! Now if I can just make it through the day fighting the urge to throttle my cubicle neighbor (currently eating a bowl of oatmeal and making smaking and slurping noises). What a pig!! Oh as I typed this, he finished his oatmeal and now is eating gum with popping bubbles. Oh joy! Manager showed me her plans and it seems she is on a fast track to move us all so maybe we will be moved before Thanksgiving or even the beginning of November! I am countin the days.

Last night property manager at my apt complex decided to hold an open house at 7pm but didn't notify any of the tenants of this (I found out when I was searching the apt listings online and saw her posting). It seemed strange for her to hold it on a weeknight when most places hold them on Saturdays. I didn't like the idea of her leaving the gate open when it got dark out and not notifying us about the whole thing. When I spoke with property manager when I walked by to get my mail, she mentioned that they were going to have carpet cleaners at 8:30 tomorrow morning. She said it was the only time she could get them (which is a crock as I know there are lots of these companies out there that she can use). So my Saturday morning will start off with a loud generator going for 30 minutes starting at 8:30am. I am usually awake at this time of the morning, but starting my day off with a loud generator noise is really inconsiderate of the property manager. I am so tired of this kind of behavior that I really want to move now but have to wait when my lease is up. I am a bit concerened about moving though as I am not sure I can afford to. Hopefully by end of January, I will have managed to work it out.

I too missed the MC/FF issue. Hope things work out for you two.

  24. TGIF indeed ! So glad this week is coming to an end. Not been overly busy, but looking forward to some down time this weekend. Very tired today after the headache yesterday. Only cure that worked was Mtn Dew... lots of caffeine delivered through carbonation.

Is the MC/FF issue the one about the dress/dress store?

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  25. Yes, 2Popoki. I found out by signing on to Facebook. It was apparently mentioned there and on one of the night shifts. Both places I don't visit more than once a week at this point in time.

Okay, my cubicle neighbor is officially a real big pig...heard him do a bodily noise I really do not wish to hear (in the words of a family friendly phrase - he tooted).

I keep going back to the main page of TDK as the bottle kitten is so adorable! Need a COA alert. Thu-Ploof!

  26. I try to stay up on what's going on LOL I don't do too well sometimes.

Sorry about your cubicle neighbor. He needs a refresher course in manners !!

  27. The issue with FF is that he said it would be nice if I were more "feminine". What is that? He said you know wear dresses, skirts, heels. HUH? How many women do THAT on a regular basis? I guess only the ones that want to be feminine.....lol. If you haven't already please go over to the "Wilma Biopsy Thread", thanks!

  28. Hi, All! It has been a full day of errands following bike riding this morning. Part of it was the grocery store which is like a love/hate experience for me. Is there some sort of a school where people go to learn how to completely block the aisles? Arg.......

But just look - it's almost martini time!!!!

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  29. Martini time??? *looks around for martinis*

Have you spoken to FF, MC, and told him how you feel? Many times men don't realize when they say something hurtful or stupid. He seems like a good guy other than that dumb comment, so maybe he's worth hanging onto?

I had a great match this morning. I hadn't played a real match in a few months, so it was nice being out there again - and I won! I was subbing for a team in a different league, so I'm sure they'll ask me to sub again, which will be nice.

  30. We really haven't had time to talk and I have this goofy work "engagement" tonite so I won't get home until late. By then I will just want to snuggle the girls. Then he works tomorrow and has the Chicago Bears game on Sunday, hope he can fit me in sometime.
