  1. It is with a heavy heart I write this. I knew when the vet left a message that "we needed to talk" and to "set aside time alone" that something was up. I am trying to keep a positive outlook but my heart hurts. The pathology report came back as lymphoma. The vet called back and said she wanted a second opinion. The second opinion said irritable bowel syndrome but no lymphoma. She called back and asked to talk with the supervisor and he said he saw both lymphoma and irritable bowel disease. So she was very upset that she couldn't get a straight answer that she is demanding the slides back and is sending them to another lab. Please keep us all in your prayers while we await the final diagnosis.

  18. Well, we go back on Wednesday to get the staples out. At that time she is going to discuss with me what my options are depending on the diagnosis. She will go over both treatment routes. She told me to try to just watch and enjoy Wilma this weekend and just digest the information. She said that due to cat's very sensitive noses that Betty might "smell" something wrong with Wilma and that is why they are not getting along. Ho hum. Right now I am sitting here at work at the computer with tears rolling down my face. We have some goofy fall dinner tonite for our patients and their families. I just don't feel like socializing and smiling and celebrating. I missed the one in May cause of my brain surgery so it was "strongly" suggested I attend tonite. I AM cutting out right after the meal though. I want to be with my girls and snuggle.

  19. Oh Molly, you poor dear. I ask God to wrap you and Wilma and Betty closely in His loving comfort, care, guidance, and grace.

  20. Praying that Wilma's condition is IBS. Is that treatable in kitties? Mine is somewhat better, so hope that's what it turns out to be. Hugs for MC and poor puzzled Betty.

  21. Amy, of course you don't feel like attending that dinner, I understand! It is difficult to smile and pretend you're not hurting inside :( I am sending you {{{HUGS}}} and prayers of strength.

  22. Oh dear, Amy, you don't need this on your plate. I'm sending strong vibes to you, Wilma and Betty in hopes that the lab just can't tell the difference between IBS and anything else. From everything I've just read on the web, the two diseases often go hand-in-hand but I also read a lot that said one can be misdiagnosed as the other.

I wish you strength and the very best results possible.

  23. Truckloads of prayers and white light for you, MC, and for Betty and Wilma. I hope and pray that the diagnosis is IBS. In the meantime, may God and his angels wrap wings of safe keeping around all.

  26. MC, I'm sending prayers, hopes and positive energy to you and to sweet Wilma. We will all pray that the diagnosis is IBS. I hope that you will be able to get a definitive diagnosis next week so that a plan of treatment can be mapped out and begun.

Many, many hugs to you, Wilma and Betty.

  27. (((((MC))))) I'm so sorry!
I'm praying for good news for you and poor Wilma. Auntie Ellen's dog was diagnosed with cancer a bit over a month ago and turned out the first biopsy was wrong. I hope that'll be the case with little Wilma, too!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  28. I see the beautiful Wilma! Sending her more hugs and white light and smooches. Hugs for MC and Betty, too.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  29. I don't see Wilma yet. What did you do to get her to appear, Kilroy?

Posted 2 years ago by Leeny #

  30. Try the Control and F5 keys together, Leeny. I didn't have to do that this time, I had been away from the page for a bit and she just showed up when I came back.
