  2. One thing I'm wondering: How do you diagnose IBS from a biopsy? At least in humans, IBS is a diagnosis given after everything else has been ruled out--all the tests have come back negative, but you're still having the characteristic symptoms, so it's IBS.

  3. Its not IRRITABLE bowel but INFLAMMATORY bowel disease. It causes the cells in the digestive tract to change thus showing up as a certain way on a slide in a laboratory. Sorry that was my OOPSY in my original post!

  10. Amy, I'm so sorry, my heart aches for you. This is so unfair. I know life is not fair but you would think it could give us a break every now and then. Poor darling Wilma. Sending her all the healing energy that can be gathered up from this side of the Pacific. I hope the diagnosis is the best it could possibly be.   11. I am so sorry for what u r going threw. But I just went threw something with my vet. He told me some very scare new about SamSam my kitten. But after we did the test and the result came back, he told me they turned out a lot better then he thought it would. When he first told me what was going on with SamSam, I thought for sure that I was going to have to put SamSam to sleep or we were going only have for a few more month. So wait until everything comes back for the second opinion, believe me I mad my self so sick, from worrying. But I promise I will keep the 3 of you in my thoughts and prayers.   14. Oh, Amy, I'm so sorry--prayers that the diagnosis will be something treatable/curable and that Wilma's health improves. At least it sounds like they're not absolutely certain as to what is going on and that's something positive to think about. Everyone here in Texas has their fingers and paws crossed for the best outcome possible. {{{hugs}}}

  17. Its funny, I think Wilma knows I know something. She was such a doll last night. Cuddling up on my lap, laying her head on my chest and batting her little eyes at me. Purring like a motor boat, I tried not to cry. It makes me so sad that Betty didn't/wouldn't join in on the love. Oh well, I pray she will come around. Her sister needs her and so do I! Thanks for your hugs and prayers and support! (((TDK)))

  18. Just hoping that the second vet's opinion turns out to be right, MC, and that poor Wilma has no lymphoma. Sometimes vets give the worst case scenario so you won't be devastated if their diagnosis turns out to be wrong. Let's pray it's one of those, and Wilma will be fine with good treatment. Hugs to you both, and Betty.

  24. Amy, I am so sorry to hear this-I know how you must be feeling, believe me. Try to keep a positive attitude, and just enjoy the purrs and cuddles of sweet Wilma. I pray that the diagnosis will be better than hoped. Sending love, prayers and heaps of comfort for you, Wilma and Betty. I know when Redford was ill, Mitzi wouldn't have anything to do with him, but would stand at a distance and just watch. They always know when a sibling is ill. Hopefully this will be something that can be treated and Betty will soon be playing with her sis again soon.

  25. Wilma wanted to send purrs, headbonks, and sandpaper kisses to everyone on TDK! She says that you have been wonderful praying for her and his sis. She feels pretty icky now but hopes after her staples are out on Wednesday she will feel better! Meow, Meow! <3

  27. Here it is 1230 and I have yet to see or hear from Wilma today. She only has four rooms to go into and I can't find her. Betty is howling like a mad cat, I told her to tell me if something is wrong and where to find Wilma. Nothing.
