R.I.P. Nova

(20 posts)
  1. I was at work and my boyfriend was at his mom's house. Somehow the dog that lives upstairs got to our little apartment and attacked her. I've uploaded some pictures I took of her early this morning to my catster page. I just want some peacefull words that will help her rest easy. Thank you all!

  2. I am so sorry for your loss. I sent you a star for her on Catster - I got one when my little rescues passed and they were cherished. Peace to you Miss Nova and to your humans.

  4. Oh, no. OhmyGod I am so, so sorry. That darling wee kitten, how heartbreaking. This is terrible to read, Samye. Nova was so beautiful.

    It is probably of no comfort now but you changed Nova's wee life for the better. You took her out of that barn and gave her so much love and care and warmth and happiness. She was cherished by you and she loved her mum and dad in return. If quality of life counts, she was very blessed. You took care of her and loved her and made her happy. That's what matters in the end. {{{HUGS}}}

  6. Samye, I think that must be only natural after such a tragedy. But try not to think like that too much because you will break your heart over and over and it still won't bring your darling baby back. She knows how much you loved her. She knows if you were there, you would have given anything to protect her. I wish there was something I could say to help with the pain.

  16. thanks everyone. I had the sickest feeling in my stomach all day at work today....kept spacing off and thinking about coming home and seeing her there.... :( like it was going to happen all over again. We buried her out at my boyfriends' mom's place, and in the spring I'm going to try to plant something on the spot. any suggestions on the plant? I want something that's gunna keep coming back every year...or like a bush idk....

  17. Samye, that's a lovely idea. A rose is always nice and there are roses that do well in sun or shade. But it really depends on where your boyfriend's mom's place is, and also how sunny/dry/damp/sheltered/frosty/shady the spot that you've chosen for Nova is. Often the best thing is to see what's beautiful in your neighbours' gardens and then you'll know what grows well there, or ask the advice of your local garden centre. And of course it depends on what kind of plants you like :)

    Then every time it blooms, you'll be able to think of your lovely girl. It sounds like you're still suffering from shock, and you will for a while. {{{Samye}}}

  18. I am so so so sorry for your loss. How horrible. How horrible.

    You could plant crocuses, too. A bed of them, in beautiful colors, to rise up every spring and blanket her with their warmth.
