thank you guys so much for all the help i have already received! raising orphaned kittens is hard!!!
1. how do i start weening them?
2. how do i know when they can go to new homes?
3. i bought them royal canine baby cat... is that ok to ween them on?

Abby was about 5 weeks when I started weening her. She would NOT eat the canned food I tried her on. I then tried another kind and she gobbled it down on her own. I also gave her the kitten chow and once she tried it she over ate on it and yacked it all up and made herself sick. Who knew on a couple of table spoons full in a dish. Now she eats it just fine as needed.
I supposed they could go to a new home as soon as they are eating on their own well. We are keeping our little one. Also if the new home involves an outside situation it is a consideration winter is coming on.
