I can't wait to have it. I've never made a chili before and am pretty excited that I made up a recipe with random ingredients and it looks and tastes so delicious (at least the sample tastes I've had so far!)

Hey everyone! Gini the chili sounds wonderful. I could use a cup now. I had a great weekend in Louisville with the family and got a really good nights sleep last night. Today it is work, work, work.
Hubby and I decided to inquire about adding a day in Barcelona prior to our bog cruise and are now trying to decide if it is worh 350.00 to have a day in Barcelona. Anyone been there?
I have brought some hot apple cider and pumpkin bread for an afternoon snack!

I took today off. Last night I was cold and then I was hot. Kept waking up to mine and my cat's dismay. Woke up at my usual 5:30am and just laid in bed till 6:00 am. I felt so tired so I called in sick. Probably not a good idea as my coworkers all seem to be able to go into work even when they are sick. Calling in sick makes me look bad. Anyways think I have a light cold as I keep coughing and blowing my itchy nose.
I did manage to scrub my shower/tub and toilet as well as do three loads of laundry yesterday. I did all that without Hazel's help. I have about five more loads of laundry. It never seems to get finished. Oh well at least I have clean shirts to wear.
Sorry your head aches Kilroy and your back aches Siobhan. GD, glad to hear GG is back safe and sound. Sorry about his luggage.
I didn't win the lotto on Saturday but there is still Tues's lotto which I already bought a couple of tickets. So would love to win it. I had cheerios for breakfast and Mia likes to eat them. She wanted the milk too but I didn't let her have any. I might try some catsup with her. See if she limes that. It was cold last night. Temps down to 45 degrees. Temps won't get above 66 degrees today.

My cats love catsip. They don't love the cat milk which is by Whiska's. Too much corn syrup in it. Have you tried Mia on yogurt SMM? Thierry goes nuts over any flavor of yogurt. Hope you feel better

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention:
1. my lightbulb in the living room blew out. It has a 15-20 foot ceiling, we don't own a ladder, and the super won't fix it :( what to do?
2. when I woke up this morning, taco was sleeping on the STRANGEST pillow...

Gini, we have a pole with a thingy on the end that we use to change bulbs in the stairwell. It is an extension pole and the thingie grips the lightbulb and you turn the pole to remove and replace the bulbs. Now of course that doesn't help you if you have a fixture over the bulb.
Barring that, will the super lend you a ladder?

There is a fixture over the bulb unfortunately. Our super won't do anything. Last time we called him for the bathroom lightbulb he said he doesn't own a lightbulb or a screwdriver. Then we called him to fix the sink and he said "yeah, that is broken, you should probably call someone to fix that" (uh..hello thats why we called you). Once we locked ourselves out of the apartment and he came over and said "oh I dont own copies of keys". Once our lock broke and he said "yep, it sure is broke, better call a locksmith". After that we gave up and realized he owns no tools and is good for nothing except for verifying that things are indeed broken.

We did lunch with Mum and a family friend yesterday - Mum had been complaining about the standard of roast dinners at the home (not good!), so we took her to a carvery at her request. She then insisted on looking at the main menu for non-carvery items. Parents!!!

Very well. He's curled up alongside me on what's become "his" cushion, he's getting much better at being out in the open more of the time. The others are getting used to him more quickly than he is to them, but I guess that's the best way round!

Hi, Everyone! It's almost 5 pm and this is the first time I've even been able to look at TDK. I am totally knackered! We rode 40 miles on our bikes this morning and then have had a fun filled day of house cleaning. And then I had to bake. All because my book group is meeting here tomorrow! I'm tired!

HI all! Anyone here? I have myself a nice cuddly Wilma on my lap right now. I already broke up a big fight between the girls and have resigned myself to the fact they just may not ever be friends again. I hate that because they were really close as sisters. Oh well. Today was all a mess since I overslept but I made it thru. I had some pizza for supper and now am regretting it entirely. How is everyone today?

Pizza? Yum... Sorry all's not well still between Betty & Wilma, Pickle & Button were very close when they were younger, but that petered out - can't say exactly when, but Pickle & Eric are much closer now, which is why we're hoping Button bonds with Harry!

The baby turtles got a bath today courtesy of Mr. WWM. He thought that they needed a little "shower" but he went overboard and the sand is awfully wet. I've put lots of shredded up vegetation in there for them and tomorrow if the sand hasn't dried out I'll change it. He was just trying to do a good deed!
