  1. Pickle - loud, with just a hint of siamese

Eric - more of a chirp

    Button - whiny

Harry - weird!!! I have never heard a sound like it. He goes "meh-hic-squeak". And he goes off like a car alarm with it first thing in the morning...

What sort of miaow does your cat have?

  2. Thanks for asking Madcatwoman! Dot is sweet more like a chirp.(She's been around for awhile and knows it!) Crockey whiny when wants attention or food!(He is the newbie and still learning how to be polite!)

  4. Willow definitely chirps and lots of times she gives us the "silent meow". Windi will say a word or two on the rare occasion but she's not a big talker. Willow and Mr.WWM carry on very animated discussions. He apparently speaks chirp really well!

  5. Chloe - rare talker, then it's mreow -- very soft
Mili - talk talk talk especially when it's time for wet food. Sometimes a silent meow, but usually 'enh' best I can describe it. LOL It's not a chirp or meow... it's a 'sound'

  6. I have a few talkers, Haje just doesn't shut up, his siamese half shows up often especially when he is telling on the others :) Max has a very quiet meow, Red can be very insistent when he is in a room by himself and wants company, Little Girl has a little tiny meow that isn't heard much, Ms. B hardly ever, and Kitty is a kitty on his own level (you never know with him, I keep waiting for him to bark).

  7. Max seldom makes sounds, and you can hardly hear his purr either. But he will let out a moaning wail when he has his little constipation problem (poor baby). Cali, on the other hand, is very vocal especially first thing in the morning when she wants to be fed. It starts out with a little squeak, then she progresses to what I call "hollering". I swear she must have a little Siamese in her!! Other than her morning vocals, she has a very quiet little meow, typical of her tiny size, I guess.

  8. Firefly has a tiny high-pitched meow - she squeaks! That's why her nickname is "the meepster". Meep. Meep. Meep.

Tigerlily has many different meows - all good, loud, authoritative and commanding. She orders me (and Firefly) around with meows - or growls and hisses. Her nickname? "Oh demanding one." Firefly and I accept this - Tigerlily is after all, the queen of the universe.

  9. Abby (siamese) is my talker - she has a "mommie I love you chirp" which is loud, and pretty much we "discuss" things frequently...... she also talks to her favorite toy "white Kitty"... who she moves from room to room, and must "announce" her entrance.....

Cuddles has a "whiney" loud, "cranky" voice, that is terminally pi**ed off, and not friendly!... LOL

  11. Mowgli has two - one is more of a grunt or whine when he does not want to be picked up - the other is Siamese esk but to me it sounds like he is in pain but hes not. Maybe he just knows when he makes that sound mom comes running lol

Tommy has more of a squawk or a 1/2 meow lol he starts to meow but then no sound comes out

    Silly kittens !!

  13. I don't think Kaieteur has found his meow yet. He has vocal days and other days where i have to wonder if his voicebox is even working. He chirps alot when he's playing and when he's ready for me to wake up it's a squeaky "Me-ow" but still not very demanding... i wonder when he's going to realise that he rules the roost.

  14. I think cutest meows are the soundless ones. Firefly used to do that when she was a kitten, and it would just melt my heart. Then I would get all sappy and silly and talk baby-talk to her. I'm sure none of you have ever done that with your kitties. Right? ;-)

  15. Max trills and makes purt purt sounds. Mystie usues more of the purt purt sounds and some trills. Though Mystie's purt purts can be rather plaintive hehe if she is not getting what she wants hehe. And Max can make some rather pitiful miaow and yowl sounds when he feels he is being unjustly inprisoned in the playpen for a time out heheh! I only do this when he bites and attacks Mystie too aggressively in play and wont stop. He jsut keeps pouncing and pinning to bite. Then he gets the time out!

I can't wait til he gets over it! hate having to pen him.

  16. It's funny how some cats don't really have meows. Salem had more of a squeak than a meow, just kind of a chirp. He could meow if he really wanted to but it was a distress meow.
