  1. Eat more Chikin! lol

  2. I raised cows and did it with mine. I was a little particular with one bull--Jack because I was little and I birthed him. Well it was always a joke in the house, "Who are we eating for dinner." The night I was told Jack I was in shock--I hadn't even realized he wasn't in the pasture. I stopped naming them after that.

I haven't taken my vicodin yet HM--I will when I go to bed. I did take my Midrin and it has a mild sedative.

    KW look at your email.

  3. KW I saw my grandfather with a fresh chicken--the plucking repulsed me and I love chicken!

  4. I had the misfortune of watching my father chop the head off a chicken I'd come to consider a pet. *shudder* Hasn't put me off eating chicken though. :)

  5. I didn't see the head come off--I got there just after that. I love chicken on the grill!

  6. My mom thought sending me to Mississippi at hog killing time would 'cure' me of my lifelong love of pork. Never happened. A long time ago I dated a guy who'd been a butcher, he was a very descriptive soul and that made him stop eating beef. He thought maybe his tales would stop ME too. Never happened.
I guess I just like meat. Pork, beef.

I will also occassionaly get on a chicken bender, which isn't meat but poultry.

My cousin Daught had some attack chickens. They'd come right out and peck at your feet. They were gross, messy, mean birds and we saw them meet their maker all the time. It was never enough to make me stop eating the yard bird. It's TASTY!!

It's weird nobody ever tried to stop me from eating chicken isn't it?

  7. Got the e-mail. Sweet!!!

  8. When I was in Peace Corps ih Thailand I offered to cook a pseudo traditional Thanksgiving dinner one time, and they killed the two turkeys from the live market right outside the kitchen door - I had never seen a bird plucked, nor cooked a fresh bird! It was *interesting*. I'll have a liquid dinner - bloody mary, please, since it was so d**n hot here today = October is when we are supposed to cool down!

  9. A true carnivore--a girl after my own heart!

Those are only 1/2 of them! I liked most of them, but I wasn't wild about all the sepia ones.

We turned cool today NC, hopefully the cool weather will head your way.

  10. I liked the photos of her in the crushed velvet dress and the shot of her with the dog. :)

  11. I loved the one with Sherlock. The red velvet is the dress I picked--the combat boots with the little purple black thing is her pick. He sure put her in a good spot for both types of shots. I was pretty happy.

  12. I shudder to think what the prints might cost, but it is worth it to have some keepsakes from her senior year. We still have our kids' senior photos up in our living room. :)

  13. He is not a professional photographer. He owns the local copy business. He makes a copy of all the proof and then gives you a DVD with all the pictures! He does this for less than a typical senior photo session at any other professional photographer.

  14. HM, Don't you just love Texas Vets??? Starched Wranglers, boots, belts and wonderful smiles. I love working with cowboys everyday. Some of those big ole cowboys are such softies underneath. I could use a wonderfully rare ribeye. Yumm! One of my fav's is slow cooked pork roast. I have got to stop all I can think about is pork roast! I love carnivores! So glad the boys are well and happy. Hope is is not as hot down Houston way as it is here. The weather is truly nasty. Hot, wet, damp. Can hardly breathe. Hugs to you and the "tabby boys".

  15. Great find, SM. Less expensive is good!

Hi, PT! Hope the weather there cools just a bit. I guess MCW took her English rain back home with her. :)

  16. I hope you are right SM... It was 90+ today! Another bloody mary, please! Just got off the phone with my daughter, she called to tell me that a boy from her HS just got married to a girl he had been dating for only a couple of months! Thank goodness her reaction was - they are way too young for this!

  25. MS wanders into the NS office, yawns and looks around. all the agency kitties and snuggled up with their noses tucked under tails.
It's been a long 2 days, experienced one very bad hotel mattress and had a sore back all day but we have our Airy back home with us. Shadz hadn't forgotten who she was and they were soon playing together. Time for bed for me now.

It's 11pm here in NZ, ...the night is cool in NZ and chilly to d**n hot in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<
