Hi family! Lainey just contacted me and wanted to post to y'all an update. She has been crazy busy with work and has not been able to post on TDK. She has been lurking and reading posts though. Right now, at this very moment as I write this her dad is having a popliteal bypass on his leg for gangrene. He may lose a toe(s) and or his foot. She is asking for your support and prayers. Her dad is amazing and went into this with a very positive attitude. She is also having trouble in her relationship with her Honey and needs support and prayers with this too. She will be checking this thread, so please say "hi" to her! She will let me (us) know how dad is as soon as she can. Thanks family!

Just heard from Lainey. Her dad made it thru surgery fairly well. He may still lose one to two toes up to amputation of his leg below the knee. He was in very good spirits and so happy to hear that the "crazy cat people" are praying for him and sending good wishes. Lainey said that she thinks that it is really helping her dad get thru this. She say thank you, she is no longer able to access TDK at work (she works for the US Gov't) and misses catching up with everyone. She said she will try to post when she can, will update me and have me to post until then. She sends hugs to all of TDK. (((TDK)))

Hi everyone! Amy, thank you for putting my update in here for me. I got some sleep last night and am about to jump into the shower and head to work. As Amy mentioned, I work for you and well, my agency is really cracking down on internet time at work. The only thing we are allowed to do on the web that isn't work related is check our home email. Hopefully they will loosen up a bit, but well, we are on your dime....
My daddy is such an incredible man and he was grinning from ear to ear when I told him the cat people were still praying for him! The staff at the hospital just love him to pieces, too!
As Amy mentioned, I'll keep her updated and she will say hello for me when I can't come online. Life has been crazy busy after work so I get very little computer time at home, too. I just know I miss everyone here. this truly is my "family of choice" and I love you all!

Hi family - I only have a few minutes. Not working today but life is CRAZY at the moment. Heading up to the hospital to see my dad. He has been hallucinating, but as Amy pointed out to me, it could be from the anesthesia meds from his surgery on Thursday night. There is a change in him, not perceptible to those who don't know him, but definitely to his children. I'll get more info when I get there in a bit.
Thanks again to Amy for updating you all for me. And thanks for your continued love and support and prayers. Means the world to me and to my daddy.
