  2. What are you feeding her? Wet or dry? Wet is better because it gives her the moisture her body needs. With dry she should be drinking a lot of water. If you're feeding her dry and she doesn't have fresh water available, it could affect her breath. Don't give her milk.

  4. She might be getting enough liquids from the wet food and the kitten milk.

  5. sounds like "sour milk" kitten breath to me....... probably normal...... when she is old enough to go off the milk, and just drink water, I bet her breath improves!

  6. Try putting another water bowel somewhere else away from her food - we have a second one in the bathroom, and it's far more popular with our lot!!

  7. thankyou i'll try, is "sour milk" a danger to her do i need to take a trip to the vet?

  8. Nope, not a danger, you know how whenever you spill milk on the carpet, if you can't get it all up, it goes sour and smells disgusting...

But next time she has to go to the vet for anything else, you could ask him to show you how to start brushing her teeth, if it's still bothering you....

  9. I don't really know a cat with "good" breath hehe. Mo is stinky too and he only gets wet food. Especially when he comes to cuddle on our laps and then if we're wearing hoodies he always wants to play and chew on the hood strings while he's getting pets and when he opens his mouth to catch the string it's like whoa buddy. Personally I think it's just the wet food and nothing really to worry about. I call it the crypt keeper breath cuz cats mouths are closed the majority of the time and not much airing out going on so when they do it's just like old stale food breath hehe. Kinda like morning breath but they just have it all the time and don't brush regularly :)

  10. Mine don't have stinky breath at all now that they are eating raw. Before some of them could have about killed you with their breath...

  11. It depends on the brand of cat food you are feeding your cat. I know when I was feeding my first cat the Fancy Feast brand and she mostly liked the seafood, so her breath was quite "fragrant" aka stinky. The vet suggested later in her life for a teeth cleaning but I never did as I didn't like the idea of her being anesthetized (being put completely under or completely out) while they cleaned her teeth. I feed my two cats Science Diet or ProPlan cat food and they don't seem to have this problem. Sylvester is four years of age and the current vet says he could go for a teeth cleaning in maybe a year or two. Mia is fine.
