A few days ago my neighbor emailed me and asked me for help with their computer. She said that Internet Explorer was not working and that their new printer would not work either. A few other programs had also quit. Keep in mind she is using gmail so she has to be getting on the internet somehow. I started to reply to her email by asking, "Is firefox working? I need to know if you are able to get online so I will have an idea of the extent of the problem..." I stopped myself before I hit the send button. At that point I realized that I was definitely not up to trying to fix a computer or anything else.
I would like to say that this was the worst thing I've done, but it isn't. I just got a new cell phone last Thursday, and I did not have the usb cable to connect it to my computer. I was trying to figure out how to get music and pictures and ring tones on my phone from my computer. I even went so far as to try emailing music then trying to download the file from my email with my cell phone. Nothing worked, and I had resigned myself to the thought of having to wait until I got the new usb cable. Suddenly it hit me. The cell phone has an adapter for its memory card and I have a memory card reader connected to my computer -- why didn't I think of this in the first place??!!!!
There is something wrong with my poor brain and I swear it is from doing too much math homework. I guess is isn't a good idea to try to do factoring in my head instead of writing the problems out on paper. *sighs*
