When I got up this morning I grasped onto another hopeful Prayer that would be heard & that Ms. Hissy would be brought back home to me. I feel I've just been wasting my breath.
I haven'r seen her since Tuesday. The property owner issued a tree-cutting crew into the park on Wednesday morn.(without any notice beforehand) at 8:30 a.m. They were dropping large blocks of tree trunk down to the ground about in the area she hides out at. It was right next to the shed next door where she's in the past had several of her former litters. I went out last night calling for her several times while it was quiet & she could hear me. Also thru-out the day & this morning I called her. She clearly knows my voice. I was informed by a neighbor that heard a viscious fight going on Wed. night between what he thinks were 2 racoons. I Prayed & Prayed on closed ears that Hissy would come home safe. I think my only clear steps to take is to drop any faith I may have had in a higher source. He apparently doesn't care that I'm going thru such distress.

My PRAYERS Aren't Being Heard...HELP!

Feral,
We all hope Ms Hissy is just frightened by the strangers and noise and will come out later. If not, it is not because your prayer's aren't answered just not the way you are hoping. It is possible to answer your prayers for her health and safety, she had to be taken to the bridge to wait for you there. In her world, there will always be pain and fear and suffering because her ability to trust has been so damaged beyond your ability to repair.

Susie, you know that is not true. He cares, but doesn't answer yes to all of our requests. But that still doesn't mean that Hissy won't come back.. Keep praying, there are a lot of prayers daily for you and Hissy and her safety. Call me if you need someone to talk to, but don't give up hope. You have already given Hissy many more years than she could have had without you, and there could be many more. I'll keep praying!!!

Well said ailuromaniac and I agree. I am too worried about Ms. Hissy and would like to be able to help her but it seems God may have other plans for her. You might ask in what vicinity of the neighbor they heard the vicious fight, and go and check there. I am sure you are scared to find her in a bad way but I think you need to know one way or another. Also, when we think our prayers are not being answered, they are being answered just not in the way we would either like or think they should be answered. Sending you lots of hugs.

Susie, at this point, I am praying that Ailuromaniac is right, that Ms. Hissy is at the Bridge. She is safe at last, and free of pain. You have done so much for her and her children that this may be the way the Lord has chosen to answer your prayers, so that your mind may be at ease. Please, let His hands take over for yours now. I pray that that His calming peace of mind will pour over you at this time, and let you rest. I am sending you gentle hugs too. Be at peace, Susie.

Susie...you really don't know that your prayers aren't heard. Just the fact that Ms. Hissy has lived and survived such insurmountable odds tells me that the Angels ARE looking out for her. If Ms. Hissy could say it...she'd say "Now's not the time to lose your faith". You of all people know what pain and hardship comes to all animals living a feral lifestyle. I pray that Ms. Hissy is merely avoiding the recent intrusion of the chain saws and strangers. I understand your frustration with your higher power but know that many people, including Jeff and I are praying for Ms. Hissy and you. XOXOXOXO

God answers every prayer, honey; it's just that we don't always like what He says. His replies are often along the lines of:
1. Yes!
2. In a while.
3. I have a better idea. And sometimes He answers, "No, I love you too much to do that."
Just trust Him. He always comes through with the right answer, even though it may not be what we want to hear.

Emma is 100% correct. If she has gone to the Bridge it's because God thinks it's best for her. I know it's hard to believe all the time, but stay with it.

Maybe Hissy is home safe, Feral, out of the reach of predators, injury, and illness forever. If she is, she is looking down at you, purring with gratitude for all that you did for her.
It is terrible not knowing, though. I will pray that you find out for sure where she is and what has happened to her.
-
Thanks so much all of you. I've just about lost my faith in everything these days. And that's probably why everything...I mean Everything seems to be going wrong. I don't want to think of what may or may not have happened to her. I've even offered the neighbor kid a few dollars if he can find where she's hiding,if she's still alive. At one point I was blaming the full moon for all the bad crap that keeps hitting me at once. But, the full moon is long gone & crap keeps coming at me. I'm tired of all the so-called 'testing' of how much I can handle. I'm not as young as I used to be & I just can't take the multi-tasking & challenges anymore like I used to. I do appreciate you helping w/your emotional support & your faith. {{{HUGS}}}

For what it's worth, Feral, I don't think that you're being tested. This world just plain stinks sometimes, and it always will. We're promised that someday there will be a new creation, but until then, a lot of things are going to be lousy. I don't think it's a matter of a lack of faith, but of being in the middle of a lousy place right now. I hope that will change for you soon.

Don't ever give up hope, god hears all of your prayers!
Know that even when you feel like everything is going wrong, you are never alone and never given more than you can handle.

I know how great despair, exhaustion and loss can test one's faith in God. There are times when the pain of God's will can bring one to such incredible lows. I learned this first hand with my Bryan's death years ago. It shook my faith to my very core but today it is fully restored and I believe He understands our tired lapses of faith. Susie God is moving through us to love and support you through this difficult time. You'll bounce back...I know. I hope you've managed to get some sleep since I talked to you last. You really can't keep going on that little sleep. A hot bath and a glass of wine before bed may just get you a full nights sleep. All things seem out of control when you're getting too little rest. {{{Hugs}}}

Feral,
This vision came into my mind, and as usual, I had to post this.*C.C. carefully makes her way down the staircase of light. She is followed by two other cats - Mamma Kitty and another cat (I can't make out the color or anything - at this point the vision is unclear). C.C. has a very special card with her. The calico cat sits down at your feet and gazes up at you for a moment before gently jumping up into your lap. The other two cats remain at your feet, purring loudly as C.C. offers you the card. On the front of the card is a picture of several cats - some you recognize and some you don't. Some of these kitties you know to be Bridge kitties, and some are still with you. On the back of the card are many, many paw prints and the words, "Thank-you for all you have done for us."
All at once, the three kitties start meowing softly to you - their message is clear. You have made a difference in many, many lives both directly and indirectly, and they all want you to know how much you mean to them. Mamma Kitty, a former stray before she found her way to me, jumps up beside C.C. and gives you a gentle head-bonk. Her yellow-green eyes gaze into yours. She has only one message and it comes through loud and clear - DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE.
The third cat meows at you from its place at your feet. This kitty's message also comes through loud and clear - GOD LOVES YOU.
C.C. reaches one paw up to very gently claw your shoulder to get your attention. Her message is DO NOT GIVE UP FAITH.
The two kitties in your lap snuggle close to you, purring loudly. Then, one at a time, they jump down to join the third kitty as they make their way back to the staircase of light then disappear*
Susie,
The feeling I kept getting as I saw this vision unfold, is that God wants you to know He is there - He wants you to know that things will change for the better, but there are things you must let go of in order to take hold of the things He is offering you. You have been a good steward in taking care of His kitties, but He is ultimately in charge of their welfare, and while it may be heartbreaking to watch, the bad things they go through do not follow them to the world beyond. You have given your heart to these babies, and all you have done IS NOT FOR NOTHING! You have changed the lives of the kitties you have come into contact with, and also influenced others to change the lives of other animals. I keep hearing these words in my head as I write this - "Well done, now there are other things I have for you to do."Keep your eyes on the Master and not on the things of this earth. This is a lesson I am having to learn bit by bit, and bit by bit I can see the work of His hands unfolding.
I am praying for you, and I know things will get better for you.

Owlwatcher...Your babies already at the bridge are awesome. And so are you! All of you are the greatest. Your words of support have brought me to sobbing just feeling the caring in your words.
The young neighbor boy that I made a deal w/came over a bit ago to say he has spotted Hissy. With all the calling of her name & finally some peace within the park of all the noise that's been going on nay have brought her back home. He's a really good kid & told me it was a clear sighting of herbut, when she saw him,of course, she hopped the fence again & was gone. He's such a great kid & grateful for my few dollars I gave him for his effort, that he's going to continue his search until I'm able to spot her for myself. Because as you all ,well know, seeing is believing...& I won't feel relief until I see her back & eating.
Thank You All Again!! {{{HUGS}}}Karen...Special {{{HUGS}}} to you sis. I miss Bryan also.

Unbelievable!! Mr.Useless just about set the kitchen on fire alittle bit ago! For months now I've been keeping an industrial-sized steel bowl in the oven. It's what I mix the different needed cat kibble up in. And when I let the 3 Muskateers out to play each day,I stick this big bowl in the oven to prevent Spunky(he's on a strick diet) from devouring it & cuz it's the only place big enuf to fit the bowl. I'd just mixed up a new batch in it yesterday morning. The big scoop cup melted into all the kibble & I had to throw it away. There was a good 4 lbs. of food in it...wasted.
I'm worried enuf about the cats & Hissy & me trying to get out of here & now I have to worry about this idiot & his carelessness(most likely brought on by smoking the weed he does). I just can't believe it. Him & OW's Teresa would make a great pair!BTW...Thank you Bumblebee for the Hugs!

A pair like that could cause the biggest unnatural disaster known to mankind!
*shudders at the thought*
That is really frightening! *giggles*
