  1. Ha ha ha, Pickle has *never* had a problem expressing herslef Siobhan, she's the most vocal cat I've ever known! She used to miaow loudly in Bones's face too (Mum's old cat), but he'd just give her a "young hooligan" glare and wap her one - too funny!

  2. WAHAHAHAHAH! Tansey does that face-slap with Hermes. She might lick the spot first, just to be sure she's got a clean place to land her paw.

  3. Oh dear, cats!!! They are so funny...

I'm going to head off now, take a nap (I know, sad!) before we go out tonight - Mr MCW and I are off to a soul food and music night organsied by someone he worls with!

  4. MCW, have a great time tonight. There is nothing wrong with naps...trust me, I now the value in naps!

  5. I think a catnap is absolutely important! Our cats have tought us well! Have fun tonight MCW!

  6. XFB just called and asked me to feed him balls this afternoon so he can get ready for a tournament - guess I'm not getting in a nap anytime soon. Oh well.

  7. Oh boy! How does GG feel about XBF?

  8. Hi all!

MC, I'm so glad your date went well! Yay! And see, Betty and Wilma will be friends again soon, they just need time to adjust.

GD, glad that GG is back and all is well there. I do hope you get rid of the bugs soon; the thought of them gives me the willies *shudder*

I vote for naps, naps are good! I'm hoping to get one in this afternoon, as Mike and I are going out for a nice dinner. We went out to a show last night, and on the way home we stopped in at the pub where the NYC meetup was when MCW was here. Mike wanted to check out the score of the Yankees game. Anyway, the chef was there having a drink before heading home and he invited us to come in tonight and have him make us a special dinner. He's only doing it because he's got duck on the specials menu and he knows Mike likes duck, but hey, I'll take it :)

Hope everyone has a good Saturday, with cat naps and kitty snuggles.

  9. Greetings all.... eating light today; always do before I perform. want to be sure it all stays down -- nerves do get the best of me!

MC, GD, Kilroy,WWM, MCW - you have such eventful lives ! Mine has become very routine. I'm getting bored with it. Every Friday and Saturday night we go dancing... at the same place. Don't get me wrong - I love to dance. It just feels so one-dimensional sometimes. And I live in such a big city.

ah well... time to check the clothes in the dryer. mundane chores to be accomplished before the gig.

  10. Hi Kilroy! Enjoy the duck! Yucky for me, but if you like it and its made special go for it. 2P, good luck at the gig today, you will do great! Breast cancer patients would be proud to know you are dancing for them. I am proud as a sister and daughter of breast cancer victims.

My life isn't that eventful but it was kinda fun to do something different for a change. It was a breath of fresh air.

  11. Thanks MC ! Just checked the line up and I have 2 solos... first dance of the show is me... ACK ! great.... get all the nerves jumbling right away. lol

Exactly my point... nice to do something different for a change. Of course, with man friend out of a job, anything with a price tag is on me right now. I just put gas in his car last night so he could get to class today. I can only stretch my dollars so far, too. OK ... enough whining... ;0)

  12. MC, I haven't told GG that I play tennis with XBF. I would if it came up and I'm sure it will eventually, but so far I haven't ventured that information.
And it's not too bad - I'll get to play tennis, too, which is nice. And since we'll get it in this afternoon, I won't have to get up early tomorrow morning to play.

Sorry you're bored, 2p, but it sounds understandable. It's nice to mix it up every now and then.

Kilroy, I'd better get rid of those bugs soon - it's driving me nuts! Maybe I should just pitch a tent in the back yard and live there, bugless, with the boys?

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  13. The boys could play with all the animal neighbors and ducks outside! Not a good idea!

  14. Hi, GD, 2P, CM, MC, Siobhan, MCW and Kilroy!

GD, I was looking online for diatomaceous earth and noticed that it is recommended for killing bed bugs. The website said the bugs don't live in the mattresses, but climb onto them at night when they are active. They live in walls or other crevices. You might want to try it. Here is the website: http://www.dirtworks.net/Diatomaceous-Earth/Bed-Bug.html

Good luck with your hula gig today, 2P. I'm sure you will be wonderful! :)

  15. I already did try DE, KW. I found some dead bugs afterwards, but plenty of live ones, too. They live in the walls???? Eeeeek!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  16. eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww! IN THE WALLS?!?!?!? Oh GD, its time for you and the boys to find a new home! :(

  17. i just ordered a pizza. now, is this breakfast or lunch ? it's my first meal of the day !!!

Posted 2 years ago by CSBM #

  18. brunch!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  19. Spook stopped by to say hello. Pizza sounds like a wonderful brunch.

    Posted 2 years ago by Cats4Cats #

  20. There is a lot of info on that website about bed bugs and their "habitat," GD. They sell a little plastic tool you can use to puff the DE into any openings you see in the walls or along the floor. Nasty bugs!!!

MC, I saw that you had a great time with FF and his friends. I'm glad it went well. Hope your head is feeling better. :)

  21. Hi, Cheri and C4C!

  22. Hi KW! Yes, we did have a nice time. My head is getting some better, still a dull ache. My girls are settling back into being sisters, fighting and slapping each other like crazy! Hi Spook!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  23. Rattlesnake and Topaz were trying to add their two cents to my homework -- cute, but not helpful!

    Hi KW, MC and Cheri!

    Posted 2 years ago by Cats4Cats #

  24. They were just trying to lighten your work load for you, C4C! :)
