Sunday Cafe October 11th

  1. It's different, FH! But I don't think that it will last. For one thing, this coming weekend is the Texas Sized Garage Sale that is for meals-on-wheels and Mr. WWM will be working Friday and Sunday. It's always blistering hot for the sale and the warehouse where it's held has no A/C. So I'm sure it will be heating up again by the end of the week. In the meantime it's a great change.

  2. Hmmm, a turtle quilt..... I think that I have some good fabric in my stash!

Poor MCW - just be glad you saved the medical records! Have another cow patty......

  3. MC, my stupid head has been hurting for weeks and I'm pretty sure it's just always going to. I think it's an inevitable side effect of having a headful of spare parts/scar tissue/excess fluid. I guess I should be grateful that's just annoying today, and not pound-my-head-against-a-wall awful.

  6. Hi, MCW!! Glad you were able to resolve your Mum's disagreement over when she had her embolism. It was very brave of Harry to stay in the room while your Mum was there. What does your Mum think of him?

  7. *waving back*

{{{{{{{Kilroy}}}}}}} It's probably due to that yucky NYC air. You obviously need some Texas sunshine!!! (don't say anything, MCW!!!)

  8. Oh WWM, the cookies are unbelieveable! Funniest thing was I went to make them and I had NO SALT in the house. I have NEVER had salt in the house. Thank goodness the Kroger is close enough I got a very tiny salt shaker. I found the recipe off the back of a bottle of Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice. Perfect to have with coffee/tea/milk. I have to pull up plants as the 25F weather overnight killed everything. Its offically WINTER now! I hate that is gonna be cold all day. Taking it easy doing laundry, vaccuuming (if I can fix my vaccuum) and litter box changes. I then have some paperwork to finish for work. Sounds like everyone is having a good day. I am gonna try to post that cookie recipe, its so easy and tasty! Everyone who tries them falls in love with them. I like that the cranberries take away the sweetness so they aren't oversweet. Turns around waving to all who are in the cafe!

  9. I've got an orangie, Grumpy Gus, sleeping on the mat outside my French door. I'm now feeding he, his wife Dottie, and their two children on a daily basis. Dottie is the only one who will let anyone touch her---and that's only when she's desperate for food!

MCW---glad you liked the cow patties! ;)

  10. Texan sunshine is a rumour! A myth!

    *waves to everybody*

Mum thinks Harry's gorgeous KW, unfortunately the feeling isn't mutual...yet...I live in hope!

  11. I'll have to look as I think I have some cranberry juice. Maybe it has the recipe. And even I put salt in cookies!

I'm off to quilt, y'all. See you in a bit!

  19. Oh why don't cats come with a blueprint??!!! I'm trying to train Harry to associate me whistling with getting food (we get our cats in overnight with a whistle, which they know means special treat food) - he doesn't like what the others have as a treat, and he's not particularly bothered with a dish of his own food!!! And he doesn't like whistling! Aarrgghh!!!

  20. *waves* Hi everyone....trying to start cleaning this house for the party next week...it needs a major overhaul so there is a lot to be done. Off to clean :(

  21. MCW, my cat in Denmark didn't like whistling, either, but whenever I whistled a really shrill whistle, she'd always come. I think she came because she wanted the awful noise to stop :)

    Alright CM, let's see....

  22. My girls HATE a whistle!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  23. ... Mine come to their names..... and they each know their own...... Abby only answers to hers (usually right away with a happ little trill).... HRH Cuddles eventually swaggers out from her bean bag after about 5 calls, because she knows it's food time.....

  26. awww Cheri!... hugs!

  27. Afternoon all. MCW, keep the whistle training up, Harry will soon figure it out especially if the other cats come to a whistle. Shadz comes to a whistle and not just at food time, she knows it is a "front and centre please" order and mostly responds.
    Happy cleaning CM.
Hugs Cheri, hope you feel better soon.
