  2. New kitten is up! And she's a beauty.

AV, the pizza sounds yum. Mike makes the best pizza I've ever had, but yours sounds good too.

  3. AV, any pizza left? Sounds delicious. Just might do pizza for dinner tonight to feed the hungry workers. I have a chicken breast I have already poached with lemon juice and sumac for a lovely tart taste. That's if I don't have it with salad for lunch.

  4. OOH MS! That chicken sounds good too! I had turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. Once again I "cooked" a Healthy Choice meal. The big cook that I am! LOL

  5. It's a cool day here so I am going to have one of my last soups from the freezer for lunch now. Still haven't decided what dinner is as I don't have all the vegetables I need for my famous vege pizza, just may have to go to the fruit & veg shop which is right next to the garden centre. Sounds good to me.

  6. Had Thai-style stir fry veggies and chicken pver rice myself in the real world, but I really would rather have a hot cheesy/italian sausage/black olive pizza! I have been out of touch for a bit - how is everyone?

  10. Trip back was good - a few too many dead lambs to be seen but otherwise the scenery was engrossing - didn't need any alternative entertainment.

  11. MS, its good KK is your sister! I did giggle at your comment about not wanting to sit anywhere near KK this afternoon!

  12. Slinky factories will be busy, darn those late season snow falls.
Off to enjoy a mug of hot soup and grainy toast now. No sneaking downstairs for chocolate panini or whatever your vice is KK.

  15. LOL.... there's always "one" in the family that has that "bean problem"!.... LOl it was my brother in ours!..... LOL.... unfortunately for ME, it was Hubbs in his family.... I swear, sometimes the sheets are three feet off the bed at night!.... (dons gas mask)

... the pizza turned out really well - now that I've discovered the "perfect crust", any topping tastes good!....

... does chocolate help the "bean" problem? or does it agrivate it?.... LOl

    ... oh I am bad.....*disciplines self*.....

  16. oh my AV, that sure made me giggle! I had that problem after my colon resection, thank goodness it has subsided! Poor Abs, hope she doesn't sleep by your hubby

  17. Hey AV,
How do you make your homemade pizza? I find I have to cook the crust a bit first before adding any toppings. Boy, would I love some right now. Mmmm... I am having some hot apple tea with sugar and milk as my throat feels weird. I think its the colder weather and allergies.....

  18. Hi BB!.... I have found that cooking the crust on a wire rack (like you would cool a cake on ) is the trick!... I spray it with pam, then put the crust (topped) on it, and it gets nice and crispy on both bottom and top!....must be a hot oven - 450 degrees for about 15-17 minutes.....

  19. Have decided I am going to make roast vege and chicken pizza for dinner. I give the veg a light cooking on the George Forman grill before I put them on the pizza. Having onions, garlic, zucchini, mushrooms, red peppers and thin slices of sweet potato with slices of cooked chicken breast and olives and parmesan.

  20. oooooh MS, that sounds delicious!...... I love almost anything on pizza crust!... it's all good!.....

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  21. Oh thanks AV! I have one of those pizza pans with holes and usually use that. What kind of a crust do you use? I have tried a french bread recipe, bread machine recipe, and other various recipes from a variety of sources. Mmmmm....
MS, Oh, my goodness! It sounds extremely delicious!!!!

  22. AV, do you use spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce or just tomato sauce?

Posted 2 years ago by bumblebee #

  23. All the pizza talk sounds good, went to have Chinese @ lunch with friends and Sarah. Lovely visit and then Sarah and I walked around a bit before coming back home. She is on her way to Phoenix to see her brother tonight and hike up Camelback in the morning, then she will come back here tomorrow afternoon or evening. I need to sleep anyways before going in to w*** tonight so its fine. We did make a dent in the garage today with sorting thru some things and organizing the boxes so its easier for me to check thru them.

  24. GD, why did you have to throw out the blanket???? And would Bobby like to go to Hawaii next month? NO Speedos, though.

  25. BB, sorry I didn't get back with you last night.... I use your basic pizza dough receipe - 2 cups unbleached flour, 1 cup warm (to 120 deg) water, 1 packet quick rise yeast, 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp garlic powder and 2 tlb olive oil.
Mix the dry ingredients together first (including the yeast - you don't need to mix quick rise with water first)... then add the water and olive oil. Turn out on smooth surface, knead for about 5 min. Put in an oiled bowl, cover and let stand for at least 10-15 min. Longer doesn't hurt... Roll out and bake topped at 450 for 15-17 minutes.

I make my own sauce - I use tomatoe puree, and flavor it with minced garlic, scallions, oregano, salt & pepper..... for toppings, I use any and everything!.... Good luck! Hubbs and I enjoy a good pizza every now and then!.....
