Since Sunday's are slow, the kittehs thought a "potluck" was the way to go. They are providing drinks, we provide the food. I am bringing some homemade veggie soup and my oatmeal cranberry white chocolate chunk cookies. I have on my jammies and am watching my Indy Colts play football. Hope you are all well and have relaxed this weekend!

Hi MC & MS...I've already eaten...made some tacos. If you want I can add a few to the spread you've got started.
Ms. Hissy is out back as I type this...eating away. I hope she gets enuf since I'm sure she won't stick around & she's abit on the thin side since she's missed so many meals lately.
I caught the second possum last night that's been hanging around & relocated him down the road to a safe place & shooed him on his way. I reset the trap but,the troublesome racoons weren't around. By 10:15 I was beat & didn't want to wait up to have to drive them down the road as well. They have to be taken further away.
I wonder if racoons like pizza? :)
Gotta run...have a nice time on the NS tonight. -

Oh TDK disappeared there for a while, couldn't refresh or log on. Off out now to get veges for tonight's dinner.

It is STILL cold here!!!! 45 degrees, which by West Texas standards is full blown winter! Mr. WWM was very brave and grilled steaks outside but I insisted that he light the pilot light in the fire place. It will probably turn hot again, but for the meantime it feels nice!

He cooked the steaks perfectly! But I didn't venture outside to help. And I didn't make a "turtle sweep" because I know they would all be buried and snug and warm.

i got up at midnight because i was hot under the covers. i slept solid between 10 and 12. i'm going to go have a drink of water and go back to bed. it is now 12:53 am...

It's 02.32 am here in AZ, ... cool to nice in USA and the night is cool and wet in NZ ..... anyhoo it may be time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...
check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light,healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<

Deb I had a busy day doing all sorts of little things around home that looked like I didn't achieve anything by the end of the day. Went to the garden centre and bought two heirloom tomatoes and one zucchini and about 10 basil plants. Roll on summer.

... I'm thinking of painting a pumpkin this year, seems like they last longer....I wonder how the tough economy will effects the candy giving!

AV, so glad that someone 'likes' cleaning, wish I did it wouldn't be such a chore then....
MS, I felt like I was going around in circles today, left w*** early because of the headache and then slept for a couple of hours only to get up and rearrange the garage into more manageable stacks of 'stuff'....should be easier to go thru the boxes now and weed out what's not needed. Figure daughter will be back tomorrow afternoon sometime and she will re-pack some of the light fixtures, pots & pans, and her dishes so she can take them with her.

Yay, you're getting rid of some of the stuff you were storing for her, even if you had to move house and garage to accomplish it. I hope the voices become quieter for the rest of the shift. See you tomorrow and have fun with your daughter.
