I have Panera catering. Grab a yummy on your way to work or before your day. Not sure who has the day off, I sure don't. Healthcare is a 24/7 job, but thats ok. I chose healthcare. Morning and evening my friends.
Abbie got up at 6:15am so I had to feed her a bottle, and then Maddie woke up, so I but Abbie down for her nap before her breakfast and now making breakfast for me and Maddie then when Abbie gets up will feed her...Why they are up so early, I do not know.
Good news..we were panicking on the weather front for Maddie's party on Sunday and my nephew and his wife called last night and offered their house for the party. They have a nice, big open floor plan. So we are now having Maddie's party there. Craziness!Posted 1 month ago by cricketsmama #

Tansey has joined the Old Furts club on Catster (lol). They have a breakfast cafe too. Tansey made a grumbling appearance there this morning, telling all the kitties how hungry she is all the time (lol).
She thought she really wanted some of the chestnuts I was shelling (after roasting)yesterday, but turns out it wasn't to her taste. She also really really thought she wanted some peanut butter cookie, but that wasn't to her liking either. (lol)

It's great about the party and at least if it's sucky weather, we are covered..we just have to inform everyone with the change in venue. I had scoured the kitchen already and was going to mop the floors later this week when Danna called me. I am glad I don't have to try to clean and take care of the girls at the same time. That's a big help too. We just have to get everything over to Danna's house this week.

Betty and Wilma are still fighting. I have to seperate them still. I tried reintroducing them Saturday but it didn't go well. They were fighting and hissing and slapping each other. I had to put Wilma back in the bedroom by herself today.

I ran a lot of errands this weekend! YAY! I finally am feeling more like my regular self...still have some digestive difficulties and some lingering back pain, but it's restricted to my left lower back and left buttock. I fell down my basement stairs and landed hard on my left hip about twelve years ago. I remember thinking at the time "This pain will come back to haunt me sometime" and crap.. appears it is.

No day off for me today, either. Of course my weekend wasn't that great, so it's probably a good thing it's over!
I'm hoping to hear from XBF that he has a check for me from the old/new job today. I have to run to the mechanic and see if he'll check the stupid water pump in my car - it seems my car is running hot these days pretty much as soon as I turn it on :(
It's not cool to be carless when both work and GG is 25 minutes away and I have dog-sitting next weekend, complicating things :(
To make matters worse, whatever Landlord sprayed th other day didn't work - I saw two bed bugs yesterday, threw out my last sheet and slept in my car which was NOT comfortable, but at least I have no new bites. -

I just heard the Garbage truck out front emptying the trash cans. So there are some working.

Back to work for me too! Saw some snow Up North on Saturday and was pretty on Sunday in time to come home...there was still color too! Kits were happy to have me back...with purrs and biscuit making/I guess they really love me not just the hand that feed them! A toast to a good week ahead with a large mug o'java to all TDKers!

Good morning all. Glad to hear you are feeling so much better Siobhan. I bet it is a bit of a relief. Hope all that are feeling poorly, that you feel better quickly.
It was a nice relaxing weekend and of course it never feels long enough. I spent Saturday doing nothing but eating and sleeping. Sunday I went and got the car washed (inspite of the fact that it is going to rain Tues and Wed), did some grocery shopping, and did about nine loads of laundry (three were all bedding). Every piece of clothing, towels, bedding, etc is washed except for what I was wearing yesterday (and those clothes that I don't really wear anymore that I have been meaning to clear out of the closet and donate). Cats were extra cuddily yesterday. Mia loved all the clean clothing and bedding. She helped me fold and put them all away (even jumped into the draw where I had put some fresh shirts to knead and purr away). Then she came and sat on my lap yesterday and would have fallen asleep but I had to get up as my leg was starting to hurt too. It is definitely cooler weather if she is coming to sleep on me during the day. I don't mind one bit!
We are supposedly in for a big storm here starting tonight. Winds are suppose be around 40 miles an hour with larger gusts and rain is suppose to be 2-3 inches on the coast to 4-6 inches in the Santa Cruz mountains. The rain is suppose to hit hard Tuesday and Wednesday. They have that so much rain is coming that Redwood City is issuing sandbags as a precaution. First big rain of the year and it is early. We don't usally get the big storms till December. We need the rain badly though.

ACK!!!! I'm getting such a late start! I was going to ride my bike this morning and so didn't set my alarm like I would when I go to the gym. Only when we looked outside it had rained and was still misting. So I went to the gym only much later than usual. Now it's almost noon, it's cleaning day and I haven't even started!!!! :-(

WWM - I haven't caught up from the weekend, but did see something about a trip to Hawai'i next month ! Which Island/s are you headed to? And do you think I could fit in a suit case??
Gig on Saturday was.... well, not what I had hoped. I messed up my first solo, 2nd one went better. It was a beautiful sunny day, temps in mid 80's. I hope they managed to raise a good amount for breast cancer research.
