  3. Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian friends--been awhile I hope all is well there.

I need comfort food--unfortunately it hurts to much to eat. I have lost 10 pounds in three weeks. There is an upside to this!

  14. Good evening all. Just finished off a nice dinner of penne pasta in a nice marinara sauce with a light sprinkling of cheese. Dessert was chocolate chip cookies and a glass of 2% milk. I plan to change to 1% once I drink the last of the milk.

Watching the movie The Day After Tomorrow (which I have seen almost a dozen times in the past two years) and the wind is picking up. Storm is supposed to hit tonight. My commute is going to be a rough one tommorrow morning as well as tommorrow evening. I will drive slowly and carefully.

Sending healing thoughts and prayers to you Soxsmom. MC hope you are feeling okay.

  15. I had chocolate chip cookies this evening too! Had a coupon for the pre-mixed stuff so I baked a small batch. We drink skim milk here; made the switch years ago. I just tried soy chocolate milk and it's pretty good.

  16. Joan I tried soy chocolate milk and I just didn't like the taste. I use to drink skim milk but when I got married, I tasted some vitamin D whole milk and that was the end. I am now trying to get back to skim aka fat free milk. I hope to get back there eventually. How was your day and how is Miss Leela?

  17. Joan, have you tried Almond milk? it's low in at and lactose free - Hubbs and Daughter drink it almost exclusively - they love the vanilla flavor.... they prefer it to soy milk.... says it's tastes better!... rich in anti oxidents, very good for you.....

  18. Wonderful news about Wilma's incision healing. I bet she is happier. Although you know it has to itch as the fur grows back. Gentle rubs to her.

I tried the almond milk AV and wasn't crazy about it, but it sure is better than soy!

  19. The lovely Miss Leela is sitting on the couch watching football with hubby. I have never tried almond milk but it sounds intriging. I'll look for that next! My neice can't drink real milk and recommended Silk soy choc milk. I have to admit, I do prefer Over The Moon chocolate milk. It's skim, and so thick that when I take some to work, I cut it a bit with regular milk (and to make it last longer!).

  20. SM, have you tried the vanilla flavor? Almond milk also comes in chocolate - that's Daughter's absolute favorite!.....

  21. I love OVER THE MOON milk! It tastes so good and has so much protein! Of course I love soy milk in all flavors too! I just love milk!

  22. I forgot to mention glad to hear Ms. Wilma's incision is healing. Can you rub something on it to help with any itchies she might be feeling.

  27. It's 10.00 pm here in NZ, ... cool to nice in USA and the night is cool in NZ ..... it's be time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes...good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<
