  1. Hey family! It has been an interesting 2 weeks. Firstly, the new job is keeping me really busy. I am pretty pooped when I get home. I do like it! Abbey and Jason made it back from Florida and Ohio on Thursday. It was very interesting having 6 kitties in the house. It took George a few days before he quit hissing at everything that moved in the house. Nicky found out that he could pick on Hadley. I think he was picking on Hadders because George always picks on him! I scooped lots. I also had so much kitty love. It was great. On Friday morning Nicky was drooling pretty badly. On my way home for lunch I remembered that Wilbur did that when he lacerated his tongue. We checked and poor Nicky's tongue was covered in angry ulcerations! Off to the vet we went! It is some kind of "undetermined virus". He was in pain. Abbey and I were pretty worried. The vet gave him pain meds, an antibiotic and a rinse for his mouth. The bad thing was that it was contagious. Nicky had to be separated from the other kits in Abbey's room. He was not too thrilled with that. They stayed until Sunday, so we could see how he would react to the pain meds (fine). Today he is better but still needs the meds. The test results came back today and his liver and kidney function is fine. He still has to be separated until the ulcerations are more healed. He could still be sluffing off some virus cells so he is still incarcerated in their bedroom. He is sad and misses George and Nora. All will be well. Abbey is fine, she had a check up today along with a glucose tolerance test. Results on Thursday. Charles is fine and Abbey is progressing on schedule. She has almost finished the nursery. Hope all of you are well, happy and healthy. I showed her your comments and she was so touched with your prayers and thoughts. I thank you for your kindness. Hugs, purrs, skritches and love to all. I will try to keep in touch and keep up better!

  5. Poor Nicky, I totally sympathise with him as I too have an ulcerated tongue too at the moment. It's painful and so many foods irritate it. Just trying to imagine how you get Nicky to use mouthwash.
