We seem to have mislaid the Night Shift so the kitties have invited you all to a nearly morning cafe, instead. Every kind of delicacy and drink is awaiting your pleasure, the grill is being fired up and the first lattes and cappuccinos are being made. Orange juice is being squeezed by a lovely marmalade kitty. Come in and sit down, whether it's your wee small hours or the start of your busy day.

MS has set the video for Primeval, thanks Jcat. I would have been kicking myself in the morning. Just checking back posts before heading off to bed.

No worries, I was just checking to make sure they hadn't shunted it off the schedule for something else but nope, it is still there. Course, it's not as good without that blonde Scotsman in it but one can't have everything...
How was your day, MS? Sorry to hear your tongue's still painful. I hate having mouth ulcers so I imagine tongue ulcers would be even worse!
I had had a dull day. No freelance work for today so I decided I really better get down to my tax (arrgh). I am the kind of freelancer who keeps all my receipts in a big jar on the kitchen bench and doesn't remember what they were for...

Morn Jcat and MS. It is humid today in Cent. Fla. 79 degrees and climbing! I will just graze the buffet and pick some juice, coffee and a cheese omelet w/rye toast. Have a great day everyone!

Morning SOM, 79F is hot then add on the humidity! ! We are having a cool wet evening here. Shadz is sound asleep on her towel spread out on the bonnet(hood) of the car. It was hot when she hopped up there earlier but must have cooled by now. Had a slow day doing lots of garden jobs and several loads of washing. Won a meat raffle tonight, a bolar roast and some rump steak.
Jcat, don't mention taxes to me, I earned less than $300 as carer for Mum last year when she broke a bone in her foot and forgot to file a return in time and now have a $50 fine! ARGHPosted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

The government will get my ACC contribution when I next register the car, in about 14 days. I wonder if the rise will apply then. What worries me is what injuries they won't fund for surgery. Mr MS has already been told that he may not get shoulder surgery because the 6 months rehabilitation per shoulder is too expensive.

Time I headed off to bed now, early wake up again.
I'm quietly happy as I got a lovely photo on canvas today of what has to be my favourite building in the world. The Chrysler Building in New York, I just love the stainless steel upper part to it, it's so beautiful to me.
See you all tomorrow, SOM have a great day and keep cool. Jcat, you have sweet dreams tonight and keep dry tomorrow.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Oh, that's stinky, MS. What makes me angry is that it's so UNNECESSARY, there's nothing wrong with having the system funded 'pay as you go', the way it used to be. And Mr MS will be a far more productive member of society if his shoulders are taken care of. What worries me is that there is probably much worse to come.
-
I agree, they are soft soaping us at the moment, we'll get the big hit later on. Mr MS's shoulders are a direct result of his job with all injuries documented too going back years. He was continually told they couldn't do anything for them but the specialist said recently that as he had nothing done to them over the years that will be noted and go against him getting the surgery he needs. Ahhhhhh, catch 22, damned if you do and damned if you don't. There is no way we can afford the surgery privately either.
Scritches to kitties from HRH, the car snoozing cat. She'll no doubt hear me unwrap the cheese as I make Mr MS's lunch and come and beg for cheese then demand to go out as she did last night. She spent the whole night out.

Good night my NZ friends! Sorry to have missed you.
Morning to everyone else :) I haven't been posting much lately..so tired..trying to get Maddie's party stuff done and planned, regular daily stuff, and on top of it, dealing with Abbie who the last couple night will not stop crying...she sleeps for 10minutes-20 minutes and wakes up crying again. Trust me when I say we tried everything...she seems to calm down after midnight..last night was 12:30..so although I do get sleep after midnight, it's sure not enough and I am so tired and mentally exhausted from dealing with her. I think she's teething but I am not sure..My eyes feel like Mike Tyson punched them both..
How is everyone? I miss you allPosted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Morning everyone!..... Daughter made it in last night, and has spent the entire night up doing laundry...... why DO college kids cart everything they own HOME to clean it?..... what is wrong with the dorm laundries? I've seen them, they're beautiful!.... you could load 6 washers at once, and be done with it!..... only cost $1.00 per load, to wash, and $1.00 per load to dry.... so for $12, you're done..... now how much gas do ya think it takes to drive home/back, electricity for using the home washer/dryer all night, TV blaring contantly?......... actually, it's worth it to me cause I GET TO SEE MY BABY!.... LOL
I've not see the Chrystler building in NY, but the pictures are beautiful!..... bummer about Mr. MS's shoulder....health care - scares the daylights out of me, seems like us in the US system is going down the tubes......
almost 80 degrees here, and the sun isn't even up..... another record heat!

Morning Kilroy and AV.
Glad you get to see your daughter AV, that's always nice.
Kilroy, I would love to..I would just love to get some sleep in...I just don't know what is wrong with her..I was at the end of my teather last night and Wayne even tried to help and she was just not having any of it...we tried Tylenol, Orajel, gas drops, changing her, feeding her..after the tylenol wore off, I gave her Motrin...doesn't help that I have PMS too :)Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Howdy all! I am here again at work for another long day. Seems there are a lot of sick folks lately. That is certainly job security but it is also crazy time for me! I will have something to jumpstart my day like a lemon donut! (he he KK). A tall glass of cranberry juice to go with it. I can't believe it, I walked in the kitchen last night to find Betty and Wilma rubbing noses. It was so CUTE! Then they saw me and started growling and hissing! I am beginning to wonder if they are playing a trick on meowmy! Spoke with FF last night for a brief time as his engine blew on his truck. He had to buy a new one. It was $6500 to fix and his truck is worth $4000. He called from the dealership just to see how I was and we didn't get to talk long. Appears the air has cleared and he was as pleasant as punch! MEN

Moring everybody! (and g'night to those on the other side of the world) :-)
I furminated Hermes last night, including some hair nitties and he wasn't too keen on my pulling out the knots in his fur :-) Poor guy is so chubby he can't bathe himself very well. He's so cute when he tries though, it's pretty amusing. He hadn't forgiven me, though, he didn't come cuddle when I went to bed last night and I missed it. Such a tradition, to have him snuggle for up to half an hour.
I see my doctor today after work to see what he sez about the CT scan I had last Monday. Back seems to get better every day, a little at a time.
CM, I'm sorry Abbie was fussy. That's got to be frustrating, for you and for her! She can't articulate what's bothering her, and you can't figure it out.. it's a no-win situation.
-
Morning Siobhan! glad your back is better. Poor Hermes, how dare you take care of his fur like that..lol
Well Abbie is up so my day is off and running. We get to go pick up our pictures we took 10 days ago, so off to JC Penneys I go this afternoon. Hope everyone has a great day and I hope to check in later.Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

AV, if you've forgotten your college days, here's a refresher: college dryers eat up tons of quarters either because their timing mechanisms are off-kilter or because some brat takes another student's clothes out of the dryer midcycle so he/she can dry one small item without having to spend his/her own quarters. Besides, Mom and Dad's washer and dryer are probably not from the Bush administration -- Bush 41, not Bush 43.
-
Good morning (and good night to those that have already left). I go to the dentist today...just a cleaning, though, but I still don't care about going.
Siobhan, it's good that your back is finally getting better. Small amounts of progress are good.
CM, hope you get a chance to rest and just take some time to get a little down-time for yourself. It's hard to keep going when you've had little sleep, especially when you're dealing with two active little girls.
AV, like you said, laundry or not, it's still a good excuse to see your daughter.
MC, LOL at Betty and Wilma...I think it just takes time for the cats to discover they still like each other.
And to everyone else, put a smile on your face because we have TDK to share with each other.Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

*drags sleep-deprived self to cafe* Hi everyone! I would like a huge glass of chocolate milk and a kitten to snuggle, perhaps that long-hair orangie sitting over there all by himself.
