  3. Good morning! I have a sweet little stray sitting at my door. My husband said NO!

Posted 2 years ago by linksboomerang #

  4. Awwwww. LB, if it's a little girlie, you might have another chance... my husband is a big SUCKER for Tansey, his wee girl... just like human girls and their daddies, kitty girlies and their male hoomins have a special bond.

Look at me, such a rabble-rouser (lol).

We have a couple of strays that come into our back yard that are just adorable. I sure hope they have real families.... I always worry when the weather starts to turn cold, about the outdoor, abandoned kits.

  5. It is a girl. She is the sweetest little kitten, but I already have three. If I wasn't married I'd bring her in!

  8. oh man, I feel terrible today. Last night my sickness got worse. I spent midnight till 3 AM crying in bed because I couldn't breathe through either nostrils since they were completely plugged and when I tried to breathe through my mouth my throat hurt too much and it was SO frustrating.

I'm staying home from school today which was a hard decision to make. It was really important for me to go to my German class because I have a quiz today and he does not let you make up quizes, but I just can't. My nose is half stuffed with dark thick yellow/green gross, and half dripping randomly clear liquid. My back is killing me, my body aches, I'm sooo cold, my throat hurts, my head kills, my teeth hurts (a weird thing that happens to me when I get sick), and I have a fever of 101. I'm so cold

    :(

The boys are being sweet at least. Mike was asking if there is anything he could do before he went to school and calls to check up on me on his breaks. I fell asleep on the couch for a nap from 9 to 11 and when I woke up, Feeny was asleep on my stomach and Taco was asleep on my legs which was a cute and warm thing to wake up to. Mike will be back home at 4:30 so luckily I'll have help again then. I hate sitting/standing up even to go to the bathroom

  9. Gini, you sound awful. Last time I had something like what you had, turned out to be a bacterial infection. My sinuses were filled so much that I could feel my pulse in my eyes, I couldn't breath and because my sinuses were so filled it was starting to come down my throat so that I was feeling like I was suffocating and none of the OTC meds were helping. I went to the urgent care clinic at Kaiser and they gave me erythromyicin (sp?) which helped clear up the sinues and all within a couple of days. I am so sorry you are feeling so sick.

LB, hope you can help the little stray find a new home or possibly worm it's way into hubby's heart.

MS, hope your hubby can get some sort of medical help. If his shoulders were affect by his work, you would think there would be something work could do to encourage them to do the surgery.

CM, sorry you are so tired and that Abby is fussing so much. Do they make any children's version of nyquil? Probably not for one so young. Poor little one.

MC, it is nice to have loads of work for job security but not so much it drives you bonkers.

Joan, a purry kitty makes everything better. This morning, Sylvester did his usual flopping over for me to rub his belly while purring away just as I was trying to leave for work. Mia was following me all over the apartment. I felt as though they were telling me to stay home with them. It is raining off and on through out today and so I brought my lunch to work. Lean Cuisine in the fridge for me along with a nice Pippen apple and some M & M's.

Manager just informed me that I need to be thinking about goals and that they need to be done next week before I go on my three day vacation. Oh joy!

  10. Hi SMM - I was wondering where you were today!
Goals - hmmmm - keep my job ! LOL
    3 day vacation - going anywhere ??

  11. {{{{{Gini}}}}}} It sounds like you have the flu. In which case, your professors should be very thankful that you were wise enough not to go to class and expose everyone else.

Hi, Everyone! Bunch of chores this morning and then the grocery store. So I'm just now looking around TDK!

  12. Hi WWM *waves*

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  13. Hi, GD!!! How's your bug collection? ;-)

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  14. Hi WWM! I went for my physical today, are you proud of me? It went well, too; weight fine, BP fine, EKG fine. Waiting on blood tests and she wants me to go for a mammogram, but so far so good :)

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  15. I hate, hate, HATE acupuncture. 2nd session today and I feel awful, so much worse even than last week. At the moment I'm not even sure I'll make work tomorow :o(

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  16. Kilroy, I AM proud of you!!! And you have scheduled the mammogram, right?

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  17. Oh, MCW - I'm sorry!!!! (applies ice bags to puncture sites)

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  18. I will, I will; I had to go straight to work afterwards and didn't have time to make any calls. She also reminded me that I really need to make an appt w/ the neurosurgeon, which I HATE because that means another stupid MRI, but better to do them and know for sure that nothing's changed inside my cranium than to find out the hard way that something has. Problem is, scheduling all these appts when our office is short-staffed (which means the foreseeable future) is a b**ch.

{{{{MCW}}} Did the last treatment make you feel any better after it made you feel bad?

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  19. Yep, you need to have the MRI. Just try to think of it as a time when you can take a little siesta.

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  20. I hate hate hate bed bugs!! :(
I've been staying with GG to escape but feel bad for leaving the boys alone every night. Auntie Ellen said last night when she was walking out the door, she looked in and Bobby looked so sad, she walked back in and spent another 5 minutes with him. I haven't seen bugs in my place in a day or two, but I see the tenants in the main house bringing out mattresses and stuff still, so I know the bugs are still in the house and will find me again eventually. I really need a new place to live!

Ellen mentiond again today about me doing some marketing calls for her husband and told her I would. He's willing to pay me more than the new/old job did per hour, and even a few hours a week would help.

XBF texted me this morning that the company I set up had finally wired the money they owed, so I should have my bonus check this week! It wasn't in time to pay my dues at tennis and get to play today for Elln's last match, but I'll take it.

Sorry about the acupuncture, MCW - ouch!
Yay for Kilroy on going to the dictor - I hate going.

Arrrrgh - I'm late for work! Will check in later!

  21. After I felt bad last Weds, I went back to normal bad on Thursday. Today it's horrendous, I was nearly in tears for the last ten minutes, and I appear to have temporarily lost a lot of upper body strength. I am SO stiff and sore... Apparently it can take 4+ sessions before you can start to feel the benefits, which is why they recently extended the course from 4 to 6 sessions. So I have at least 1 more session of hell to endure before I may (or may not) feel any better. Bah.

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  22. Want to come talk to my boss and explain all this, WWM? Maybe she'd listen to you...

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  23. {{{MCW}}} Wish I could offer more than virtual hugs.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  24. Well, I could try, Kilroy! But I have found that whining can work, too :-)

Poor MCW!!!! I know virtually nothing about acupuncture other than it involves needles, which I am deathly afraid of. Would it help to take some ibuprofen?

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  25. MCW - wow, I had no idea it took that long to have any help from accupuncture ! Sorry... :(

Kilroy - make those appts ! Very important. :)

GD - bugs, ugh. And really sorry to hear you weren't able to play, but HOORAY on the money finally coming in !!

    WWM - good afternoon !

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  26. Ooh, I should read more carefully - congrats GD on finally getting your money! Of course, we should probably hold off celebrating until it clears your bank acct :)

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  27. Hi all! Home from work. SMM, sounds like fun at work! LOL I hate making goals, they never work out or they seem so generic when I do them. MCW, I wished you felt better, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE accupuncture. You need to give it some time. It releases fluids and toxins in your body so you probably do feel like crap. WWM, hi! How are you? How are the baby turtles? GD, that stinks about the bed bugs, wish you could get the boys out of that setting. I am so pooped its silly. Kilroy, WHY are you seeing the neurosurgeon??? Are you ok??? Mammorgrams are fine, have had them since I was 32. Betty and Wilma are being poops but I know they actually love each other since I caught them rubbing noses last night when they didn't see me looking at them! I called FF today while I was driving in the country and we talked almost 45 mins, seemed "normal" so I guess that means he is ok about our talk! He didn't mention his exwife once-progress!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  28. Hi MC - Wish I was home from work. LOL Good progress with FF !
Question about accupuncture - since it is releasing toxins, would drinking lots of water and taking epsom salt baths be helpful??

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  29. Don't panic, MC :) My ns just likes to take noisy pictures (MRIs) of the inside of my head every year to make sure nothing's changed. If my spare parts stop working, what would happen is that the intracranial pressure in my head would start to go up, and that would show up on an MRI before it caused any noticeable symptoms. So the theory is to catch any problems before I'm throwing up and walking into walls :)

But I hate MRIs! They're noisy and yucky and the contrast dye makes me feel gross. So I don't do them as often as I should. Plus there's the whole scheduling thing (I really can't overstate how much of a problem this is).

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  30. Oh, and I meant to say, I'm glad the girls are starting to warm up to each other and that you & FF are on good terms.
