  1. I woke up this morning with Sophie next to be pillow and she hopped onto my chest for some cuddles. She purred and purred and purred and buried her head in my neck to give me nudges and started kneading on my chest/neck. SOO cute.. But ouch. Had to move her onto the mattress and continued petting and she started kneading hte bedding and continued loud purring and followed me room to room to room as I got ready for the day :)

I had to share it with someone....thought I'd share it with u kitty mommies and daddies.

  6. I called it "swimming" when I was little, because my cats would stretch their feet waaaaaay out and extend all their wee 'fingers' and then draw them back into their chests before starting up again.

Awwwwww.... your Sophie wuvs you so much, she treated you like she did her mommy when she was nursing! I just love it when my kitties 'swim'.

  10. You're so lucky. I miss having cats who knead. Cloud and Salem always were kneaders; sadly, they died last year and now I have two cats who just have no interest in it.

  11. You know, Kit did that when she was pregnant. She came into the room when I was sleeping and sat on my chest for a good twenty minutes, pushing her paws into me, and then I remembered that myth about cats sucking the breath out of babies...

But seriously. I didn't know it was an affection thing, but she was really sweet when we first met her..until we found out that it was just because she was pregnant. :/ I still see her sitting on the chair now and then doing that, so I guess it's good to know that she feels good.
