No longer considered radical, vegan diets hit mainstream
(13 posts)-
I could never not eat meat much less not drink milk :O
I have a feeling that is most farmers view. Dairy farms have a ton of free meat running around (well, besides the cost that it takes to butcher the animal). As much as I do love cows and calves I still love eating steaks and burgers. Also milk (for most dairy farmers) is free. Just take it from the tank whenever you need it. I say most because I get really sick from drinking non pasturized milk :/ Regular milk is just fine though :)

Whines.."but where is the cheese, the cheese!" Soy cheese just doesn't sound the same. Do they make such a thing?

I just don't think I could ever do the vegan thing....I've considered perhaps a test of trying some well placed and thought out 'complete proteins' (whatever they might be...beans?) as a test but frankly if I don't get my meat proteins all hell breaks loose and my body screams 'Dead Flesh Now'! =(

they do make soy cheese n soy milk, especially for those of us with stomachs who can't support it. they also have stuff such as nutrella which r little soy chunk type things like a tofu.....despite the fact there are many fellow easterners who r veg, and many westerners especially the ones who pretend to follow eastern religions.....well, perhaps especially due to that last part, i will not go vegan. i give credit to ppl who have good reason for being veggie or who can do it without being psycho like linda mccartney, but even my best friend knows many vegans and many r just wierd ppl. my hubby eats meat, i eat meat, n we can n do n will. with our veggies, of course. n those of u who dont ant ur meat give it to us meat eaters! and btw......its not the idea of not eating meat that's radical, it's the behaviour of so mny ppl who do it that is just screwed up.
