    Hi, all! I could use a stiff drink. I just learned that the son of one the people I work closely with here has tested positive for the H1N1 virus. The co-worker has not been feeling well the last couple of days and is going home. :(

    *slides a toenail-curling margarita to KW* It's starting to show up around here too. What's scary is that it doesn't necessarily target people with existing conditions or compromised immune systems or the elderly; it seems to target healthy children and adults. Take care of yourself (this goes to all of you in TDK land). This is a good time to become a compulsive hand-washer and for goodness sake, sneeze/cough into your elbow!

    We have hand sanitizers all over the building and have been using them faithfully. Another co-worker has now sprayed a disinfectent all over our work area. (It now smells faintly of linen. lol) It isn't really a question of if one will be exposed to H1N1 as much as when one will be exposed. I've had my regular flu shot and intend to get the H1N1 as soon as it becomes available to me--if I don't catch it first! :)

    I'm waiting to hear back from my son... he's been home sick from work for 2 days and sees the doc in about an hour. Hoping it's not H1N1, but merely a cold...and that he'll recover quickly.
    KW - good luck in steering clear of the virus ! BTW - you looked great in the video in your official robe on the bench :)

    ... my Hubbs has it, and he's been feeling like poop since Monday..... Doctor has him on that tamiflu stuff, but he can't seem to shake the terrible headache that comes with it!....
    ..... snuck out early today, I'd love a nice margarita to start the weekend!

    This virus is "wicked"..... it has really thrown Hubbs for a loop!...... poor guy is miserable being "quarenteened" (sp?)... and I am miserable without him!.... :(

    I have so many kids out of class it isn't funny. 3 of 5 tested have proven positive for H1N1. Too late for the vaccine at our school it seems.

    I love the Friday Cafe being Feral Friday! Can we have something Feral every Friday? Good thread idea MC. I am home (so rare these days) sipping cabernet while my potroast cooks in the pressure cooker. It is very relaxing!

    ooohhh KK, I love slow cooked potroast!..... last night after a nightmare of a day, I made myself a nice steak, baked potatoe (with sour cream/chives) and fresh broccoli/garlic/lemon/butter stir fry!.... all FOR MYSELF!.... Hubbs has been quarenteened over at our commercial apt. but I was hungary for a good meal!...... LOVED IT!!!

    .....tonight Abby, Cuddles and I are alone again, Hubbs, (poor guy) is still sick as a dog, and refuses to come near us (he's such a dear)..... I took him soup today and put it on the door step.... then got back in the car and called from my cell.... he came out and got it... and blew me a kiss..... oh I hope he gets better soon!!! .... I miss him!
