  1. Tonight I went to the farm and everything was fine...until I went up into the haymow. Apparently someone threw their cat up there and left it. He (or she I'm not sure) is very friendly but was really scared. A beautiful cat with blue eyes *melts* and he purred when I went and picked him up.

I checked all the lost ads and their is no cat lost in this area; besides for a cat that doesn't know its way around it is almost impossible to get into the haymow. So I have a feeling someone dumped the poor guy :( How can anyone be so heartless as to dump their cat on a farm figuring that he's gonna be fine? Sorry, people really bug me sometimes. They could have at least left his stuff and some money...okay I'm joking but it would have been nice.

He ate a 6 oz can of food in 2 minutes flat (not kidding)! So he must have been starving :(

I found two pictures on google that look a lot like this cat:

http://media.photobucket.com/image/white%20cat%20with%20gray%20stripes/kind_02/My%20Cats/110346WCfb_w.jpg it is that coloring and its body looks like this: http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/5505054/2/istockphoto_5505054-bengal-cat.jpg%3Cbr%3E

So creamy white body, blue eyes, and its legs/head/tail are the same color as the cat in the first picture...markings are the same as the one in the second. I think that is a specific breed but I can't think of it.

*I do not know how I keep finding more cats/more cat keep finding me. This makes 6 in the last month? Actually seven if you count the feral orangy that showed up a week ago at the farm.

  3. You truly are an angel FF50, I'm sorry people keep dumping their cats on you though. Those poor kitties must be so confused and upset - throw out of their family and into a collection of other cats they don't know. They are so so lucky to have you. I believe its like this that many animal santuaries start - someone gets a reputation for being able to help those in need, and they keep getting more and more given to them until they have to make it official. You are such a good person.

  4. FF, I'm with Metsa, I suspect someone quite deliberately dumped their beautiful cat into your haymow because they know you will look after him. And you're right, the least they could have done is left some food and a big donation too (and I'm NOT joking). I have a very low opinion of the human race sometimes (present company definitely excepted, of course). People who dump animals are scumbags and I hope karma comes round to bite them where it hurts most!

And you ARE an angel, you totally rock!

  5. Yes, people can be such idiots and heartless. You see alot of that around here, people dumping animals near farms, just assuming they will take them in. Bless you for caring so much!!!!

  6. Well, let us hope that the people doing this terrible thing thought they were doing the best they could for a pet these economic times made it impossible for them to feed. Too many people think cats will be O.K. on their own because they can catch mice for food and a farm has lots of mice. I know stupid and ignorant but there are even worse myths that persist about our furry charges.

It seems you have described a lynx-point siamese.

  7. FF,I am so sorry that they keep dumping kitties on you,I don't know how someone in his/her right mind can do this. It does sound like a lynx point Siamese though and some of my sweetest kitties have been lynx points. Thank you for helping this kitty.

  8. This new little guy sounds so handsome and seems to be friendly. Maybe you can find him/her a new furever home. If you have a nursing home or a group home for special needs kids in the area, maybe they would take the cat. More and more places like that are finding that a resident cat is a real asset to their facility.

  9. Right now is hanging out in the garage in a very large dog kennel. I held him for a long time this morning and noticed he has 6 toes each front foot and 5 on each back foot o_O He is very lovey and he does look a lot like the lynx point siamese in the pictures ailuromaniac posted.

  10. im gonna agree with the title of this post....yesterday we went to vet to get Lazy's 2nd vaccines. on the way home my husband and i saw a little kitten inside the plastic bag so i told my husband to stop and park and check the kitten, the kitten is not even a month yet he cant even stand that long. so my husband told me to bring it home hes really cute lil boy i was gonna keep him but my mom really wants it so i gave it to her so today mom bought him KMR and everything...

its just sad how other people can do that if it was me im gonna put it in adoption instead of putting it inside the plastic bag and dumped it...im so sorry im just upset how people can be so heartless.. T_T

  11. thats horrible. someone dumped my tequila in a sealed box on the highway - the idea was obviously to get her run over and smashed up. i dont understand, if you want the cat dead, why not have the b*&%s and snap its neck? why leave it on highway where its supposed to die a painful and potentially slow death. can you imagine if she had gotten hit by a car, but she wasnt killed right away? the suffering, the agony . . . just because people cant be responsible enough to have their animals neutered.

  12. I know it isn't "PC", and especially not Christian, but I would like to put the humans in the same position they left these helpless babies in---somehow it seems like justice....

  13. It makes my skin crawl that we live in a world surrounded by these kind of humans - imagine, we brush shoulders with them every day, in the supermarket, the street, maybe in work.....

  14. Even scarier are the animal hoarders: we all love our animals, whether they have fins, feathers, or fur, but the animal hoarders are clueless as to how they're neglecting the often dozens of animals that have been most likely born in their homes. Seeing the Animal Cops series on Animal Planet exposed me to the horrors of animal hoarding: severely ill animals, poo and pee everywhere (I swear I could smell it through the TV, even though I don't have synesthesia [a rare neurological condition in which the perception of the senses is crossed; people with synesthesia can taste numbers, see smells, hear colors, touch music, etc.]), deceased animals in chest freezers, -- how the men and women in animal control can deal with this as their job is nothing short of miraculous. These are the angels who more than make up for the thoughtless people who either outright abuse animals or thoughtlessly neglect them.
