  1. Happy Caturday. I am passing thru on my way to the bathroom to get some meds and then back to bed. Sat down to check posts and Betty flopped on my lap. My head is absolutely killing me. It is all sticky and scabbed up back there and my hair is stuck in it. I want to wash my hair with baby shampoo but am afraid I will blow it open again. Oh well, at least I could go back to the ER (with clean hair) with the hope that I would get the same doc. Today we are taking the easy way out with a Panera/Dunkin Donuts catering. Panera for those of you who want to be resonably good and DD for those of us (me today!) who want to have something not so good for us! Happy Caturday, sit back, relax and enjoy. I will be around all day today and tomorrow. I will be checking back off and on all day and night.

  2. Morning, MC, sorry to hear your head is so bad. I think you should do as little as possible today and let Nurses Wilma and Betty fight over taking care of you. I truly think you are one amazing person and you're still our miracle kid!

PS Was the nice ER doctor cute?

  3. Yes, definitely let Nurses Wilma and Betty take good care of you.

*passes fresh pastries and hot chocolate through the worm hole to MC*

*waves magic healing wand over MC's head and Wilma's tummy incision*

  4. Morning, Marnet, do you have a nice Saturday planned? It rained and thunderstormed here so I stayed inside and stripped wood...

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  5. You know JCAT, he was in that older man with gray hair and stylish glasses kind of way. I think his not being afraid of pulling a neurosurgeon out of surgery really made him cuter. I would NEVER had done it. I really like my NS but NS's are a different breed, can be very focused and not someone you want to disturb. Marnet, just sent Nurse Betty to the wormhole to retrieve breakfast. YUM!

  6. *hands over the platter and mug to Nurse Betty along with some nice fresh oranges and stawberries to brighten the offerings*

JC, it's another cold, raw, rainy day here. I'm sooo ready for warm sunshine. Anyway, getting over the flu, so mostly going to vegetate today. If I feel up to it, there's a ton of neglected housework nagging at me everywhere I look. The laundry is nagging too. Sigh. Time to bake a fresh pan of cornbread to chase away the ikcy weather and flu blues!

Posted 2 years ago by Marnet #

  7. Ooh, sounds good, I always liked older men :) you feel like they would know how to take care of you. (And he did, lol!) Good on him for being unafraid to haul your neurosurgeon's butt out of surgery to take care of you, too!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  8. Ooh, boy do I hear you about the housework, Marnet. I keep telling myself that I only have to strip the wood ONCE, plenty of time to get on to the housework when I've got the living room done. (But that only works if no one comes round and sees the disaster area, lol....)

  9. I keep threatening to just rent a bulldozer for interior urban renewal. LOL I'm just not a very industrious housekeeper. I'd rather read a book than dust the furniture most days.

  10. Time to feed the staaaaarrrrvvvvinng kitties and give Alice kitty her insulin shot for the morning.

*leaves the platters of fresh pastries and fruits piled high, the hot chocolate steaming, and agency kittehs eagerly waiting to serve folks breakfast with tails held high and whiskers gleaming*

  11. Evening MC,Marnet and Jcat. You take things easy MC and we'll serve ourselves today.
Jcat we had a lovely morning, Airy got a wheel balancing done on her wee car and then we did some errands and took our lunch to Mum's. We had some wonderful Indian food from my local dairy owner. She was making food for Diwali celebrations and always gives me some to share with Mum. Mmmmm, so tasty. Then Airy and I barrowed firewood into the basement in the rain. We had Meegz and A-man here for dinner, while it thundered. i'm about to head for bed, trying to make up for two early mornings. Yay, Mr MS doesn't have to work today.

  13. Hi, MS, that does sound like a lovely day, and even the wood barrowing sounds like a good workout! Ooh, Diwali, the festival of lights! I love Indian food too, it is just about one of my absolute favourites! Naan bread, mmmmmmmm. How lovely to have both your daughters (and future SIL) home for dinner.

Hi, Deb, how are you today? Anything planned for your weekend? I am so sick of rain (but I quite enjoy thunderstorms...)

  17. I had a message that I had some virus or something trying to access my computer. Had to run a scan then it said my software was no up to date. Had to update then it said I needed to renew it, UGH! At least now I got rid of the nasty virus thingee, updated and renewed my software and my meds seem to be kicking in. The girls are BOTH close by, taking care of meowmy!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  18. MC, pleased to hear the girls are taking care of you, and that the meds are starting to work. Hope you are snuggled up in bed or in a nice easy chair or couch...

Time I was off to bed too. Have a great day everyone, and a lovely weekend!

  20. Good morning, all! Just finished posting some items on CraigsList; hopefully I'll sell all of them this weekend. CM, I'm tired just reading about all the stuff you have to do this weekend ;-) Hope the party is a roaring success!

Posted 2 years ago by kittymom #

  21. CM, I will be at your party in "spirit"! I wish I could just give Maddie a big birthday squeeze!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  22. Get better MC and you can come visit and give her a big squeeze :)
    Thanks KM...off to make waffles....

  23. Good morning, all!!
I didn't sleep well. I slept over at the dog-sitting house and tossed and turned all night - at least I didn't have to deal with bed bugs, though!

Working 8 to 1 today and then running to walk the dogs and then home to change and onto the tennis court with XBF at 2:30. If Panera Friends wants tea today, we'll have to do that after tennis. GG said he wanted us to do something fun this weekend to make up for not feeling well the other night so I couldn't come over. I told him that wan't neccesary, but it sounded like he wanted to anyway. I do have the dogs until tomorrow night, though, so that limits me a bit.

CM, sounds like a crazy weekend for you - I hope the birthday party goes well!
MC, I hope the meds kick in and you get to feeling better!

  24. Have fun GD,sounds like a busiest enough day for both of us!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  25. Geez, and I thought I was going to be busy today! I'm tired just reading about your schedules, GD and MC!

I get to go to the design studio today and pick out all of the upgrades for my new house! Yes, I'll be a homeowner soon!

MC--I'm so sorry that you continue to have these health problems. At least you have 2 good kitty nurses to help you through it (not to mention FF, too!)

  26. Morning to All! Hope those feeling under the weather will soon be in the pink :)) FH, a new house, how exciting!!!! Hope all goes well with Maddie's party tomorrow, CM! Wishing everyone a nice Saturday!

Posted 2 years ago by katthays #

  27. That's awesome, FH - how exciting! I hope you have fun picking everything out.

A bit too busy, MC, but I'm making money dog-sitting again, which is nice. I hadn't planned on playing tennis, but XBF texted and asked if I wanted to play and since I only played once this week, I figure I really should get out there.
I'm hoping for a little bit of down-time this weekend to hopefully relax a bit and finish my Dan Brown book.

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  28. I knew this was 'meant to be' when they gave me my new address---all even numbers! I have this even number thing! :)

I know I can't get everything I want, so I'll be crunching numbers to make sure I can get as much as possible. If I get hardwoods, over half my budget is gone, so I might just get wood in the den and get all of the other things I want--granite, blinds, and a sprinkler system are must-haves!

Posted 2 years ago by FondaHonda #

  29. Speaking of the Dan Brown book, I bought it but was wondering. Have you had to have read his other books first or does this book stand alone? I have seen the movie but not read the book for the DaVinci Code. I would like to dive in but don't want to if I need to have read the others first. I have so many books to read.......

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  30. FH, you are SO lucky!! What fun it would be to pick out new things! If I could do things over and afford what I want, I would have hardwoods. Happy shopping!!!!!! :)
