Father of boy in balloon saga meets with officers
(7 posts)-
This poor little boy gets sick at the 6 minute mark. If this was a hoax, the father has certainly caused him to deal with a lot of stress.

I worry about that boy. Even if this was not a hoax, it seems to me, just watching him that his father must put an awful lot of pressure on him. Unless he has the flu or something, stress vomiting is a pretty big warning sign, especially in one so young.

Given the father said right in the interview, when Falcon started getting sick, that the boy has asthma, I was infuriated to see that he had dragged all those kids out of bed at a very early hour to be on all sorts of tv morning shows, putting them through that additional stress and when they were obviously exhausted. Stress and exhaustion trigger asthma. He has a small kid with asthma and knew he was putting him through an ordeal guaranteed to trigger an attack complete with stress vomiting, but found it more important to get his additional minutes of national tv fame. That's stupid, egotistical and downright abusive.

Let's see---you think your young child has taken off in an 'experimental' balloon. You call the news station and the FAA before calling 911. What's wrong with this picture? What a scam!

One can only hope that officials are protecting the children at this point and not putting them through too much additional stress.
After all this broke in the news, I actually looked up the You Tube videos, something I would normally never bother with. I was appalled at how the kids have been coached to "star" in a rap video with quite crude lyrics and behavior. And what's with having them filmed on the railroad tracks? That is downright stupid and dangerous.
Lord help the kids with that sort of "parenting."
